In many ways I'm as excited about Thiago Silva as I am Kai. I'm not delusional enough to think we'll get his absolute prime (which was for me his Milan days) but I do think he will make a huge difference in terms of organisation and leadership plus he's been one of my favourites down the years so on a personal level it feels like the time we signed Crespo. He's like Zlatan in the sense he doesn't play like he's 36.

We were never spending big on a CB after all the cash commited into our attack, LB and possibly still goalie, if we got a CB it would have been a penny pinching deal and this is as good as we could have realistically hoped for.

That said we will probably have to lower our line a bit for him but with the consistent quality we now have going the other way it's something we should be able to do with results not being too erratic.

They are putting starting lines ups for them including Coutinho, Partey, Aouar saying we tear up Chelsea in defence, our midfield is way better and our forward line, they aren't a worry to us

Red Cafe is talking more about us, than ManU, but they are pretty civil saying how we have been very good in this transfer window.

Yep, I've been reading ArseMania as well. That FA Cup win has blown their confidence wayyyyy up to the point of extreme delusion. Reading RedCafe and a good number of the United fans think Silva is a good signing. Just about every Arse fan on their forum is laughing and saying he's terrible. As if they have prime Tony Adams at the back. Silva would instantly be their best defender! 😂

I still maintain my prediction that Arse will finish nowhere near top 4 again. Don't care who they buy. You just know the lads on AFTV will be talking about the title in the lead up to the season starting. 😂😂😂

Possibly been posted before but only just watched the transfer special from sky sports germany and they said that Chilwell will be signed for 35-40m euros and the deal will be confirmed on August 31.

they are usually more or less reliable but sometimes also full of shit , so take it with a pinch of salt. would be a decent price tho. I could imagine if they run the unnecessary risk of going this precise on the details there might something in it.

They also confirmed Thiago Silva but said Havertz is not yet imminent and still in the final negotiations.

I said it during yesterday's CL final. I was paying super close attention to Thiago and he just never stopped organizing the defence and his team mates, he was aware of every single player and knew how to play it. We will gain a BIG TIME by signing this legend, as this is exactly that thing that we desperately need at the back.
