He's our first choice right winger - he's direct, only behind Doku in take-ons, has consistently improved over two years. We will be weakening the squad by letting him go, especially with no replacement in line. Stats, Fulham Broadway and Vesper 2

So imagine if we instead go ad sign Garnacho 🤢🤢🤢 Which in addition to him not being good enough for us, would have the knock on effect of handing United a bunch of money to upgrade their squad. I think he’s a pace merchant who had one breakout season excelling in a counter attacking style. I don’t really see any special attributes with him at all. As for Noni going for a similar price, yes, that would be ideal. But at this point I just want to sell him before Arse change their mind and go for someone better. If that’s £40-45m with some add ons on top then fine. Why should the club accept a low-ball offer for a player who's good and is attracting interest? I don’t see any club coming in for Noni at £50m+. Nobody other than a PL team has that sort of money to spend on him and I highly doubt Noni would agree to go to a club that’s a big step down in terms of profile like a Forest or Villa. So it feels like either he goes to Arse or stays. And I’d personally rather get a slightly compromised price and replace him with an upgrade than risk Arse walking away. There is no replacement in line. Makes less sense to sell for lower price when almost all reported replacements (Garnacho, Fofana, Rogers) are looking more expensive

Napoli's gone for Noa Lang, so that's 1 less option for Garnacho.

I was sort of hoping that Forest would play hardball over Elanga and then Newcastle may join the bidding for Noni. Noni would be in the same situation as alot of our players, moving to other clubs would be a step down, even though it would be a good fit for them. I wouldn't be surprised if Noni's transfer fee (assuming Arsenal agree a fee for him) sort of sets the standard for Garnacho's asking price

We are only weakening the first team with this change. The common sense move would be to keep him unless Arsenal stump up 55-60m

Got to keep this model going of flipping players regularly to cover the huge shortfall from stadium revenues / commercial deals / lack of winning things or we will start to breach all of the spending rules everywhere. Duppy Conqueror 1,557
Why is George being discounted as a W/AM option? If he went on loan i'd fully expect him to produce as much or more than most of the players we linked with now. But if we loan him out then he comes back into an even more flooded position group, plus in most cases loan outs end up being put up for sale when they return regardless of how they performed on loan. Just keep him with us. Edited July 8 by Duppy Conqueror

I think the supposed "dislike" is more frustration and his limited skill set. NikkiCFC
