What a way to get a player on side 😂 I think the reporting from right as the Maignan to Chelsea stuff broke yesterday was that Milan have been hoping to get him to sign a new contract and keep him. So I guess if Allegri comes in and convinces him that he wants him he could sign a new deal. From our POV we need to hope his head has been turned and that our wage offer is far beyond what Milan can offer.

They are getting a hefty fee for Reijnders and Hernandez is supposedly off to Saudi. I doubt they need THAT much.
Thor 2,748
I honestly think rushing into a new keeper isn’t the way. Maignan is fine but not far and away better. I actually think Sanchez was quite good to close out the season. Always a bit shonky with the ball at feet but he is great in the air and was great at shot stopping. He has errors in him but he isn’t our biggest limiting factor imo. Fernando and The Rising Sun 1

It’s the horrid ball distribution and decision making that I can’t handle for another season. Watching him repeatedly play that straight pass along the floor directly up the middle of the pitch to the other team is rage inducing. Or kicking the ball directly out of play over and over. Maignan would be better and he speaks French - which some of the defense (Gusto Badia Fofana ) speak too. I can understand the club going with lowball offers - We’ve got a great relationship with Milan and he’s 30 and running out his contract
King Kante 1,643
Let's see how things play out. Currently the problem is other clubs are on holiday and know we need/want players for the CWC. Mike M probably also depends on shifting a GK first. We can't have 5 GK's and then try and flog one as having 4 already gives us a weak hand. With Milan we should probably try and package one of them to go there. Edited June 5 by King Kante

Because he can't do that he started to boot away ball without taking any risk. However Delap fightin for thoseong balls should help.

I think it's a little different, I think he can at times be good with passing (see the build up to Palmers goal at Wolves or Sterlings bad miss vs Leicester in the cup) but lacks the general speed of thought that catches him out. It's why I would be happy with him staying as back up, if we had say Everton away inbetween PSG/Real Madrid group games or a big knock out tie, it would be a perfect match for him to come in and give Maignan (if we get him) a rest. That really doesn’t feel like what we need at all. Any other big money attacker we bring in should be a natural wide player for me. I’d much rather throw money at Morgan Rogers than Kudus. He defo regressed last season. Was way below par, but he is one of those players who you just know he is waiting to unleash. The quality is there. Just needs to unleash it. But for the reported fee, no way. Especially as he didn't really live up to his standards, we should no way be paying that amount. But yeah, I like him. I am surprised to know about our interest, saying that and still not sure how genuine the interest is but I feel he can explode, especially at a better team.
