If we were to sell Conor we would have to replace him with someone like Ederson from Atalanta. I’ve been watching a lot of Serie A this year and he looks like exactly who we want Conor to be. High pressing but very technical. And he’s over 23 so moving into the best years period of his career.

I'm not sure, why get him back when he was playing regularly.

Over here he would be at the bench.

Not good.

I honestly feel he would snatch a starting position in this team but that is without Conor in the ranks which may be the very reason he has been recalled. Conor might be a goner.

We shall see. Many players on loan improve. Let's hope for the best.

I have been reading that one of the reasons is Carney's injury is pretty bad. Carney was getting minutes, those will go to Cesare now. It also provides cover if someone really came in to pay top dollar for Conor.

He was a bench player for them too, out of his 22 league appearances he averaged 39 minutes, playing 90 minutes in just 3 games.

Bit of an odd one in my opinion, he hasn't been a stand out player for them by any means. Not sure what he can offer?

Carney is back . It’s Ugochukwu who’s out

Sounds like Chelsea is becoming BVB, and not the current Dortmund, the old business model.

Yeah, except the tiny detail most of those youngsters are grossly overpaid from the start, what complicates this plan a bit. Also, they fail to impress much, what complicates things even further. So who would those youngsters should be sold to to gain anything from the transaction (overinflated fee + salary invested + agents etc.)?

Another Clearlake's entity is the only idea that comes to my mind, as Arsenal ended the phase when they apparently lost their sanity and mainly it's us who are mugged on transfer market, not the other way around.
