Unless Kai recovers from covid soon enough I hope we get both Leao and Nkunku.

Havertz is most likely will leave for Bayern next summer. Signing both Nkunku and Leao are unnecessary to me. What we should be looking are RW, ST, creative CM, and DM.

Just one creative midfielder with modric or Fabregas qualities changes everything abt this team especially our attack. Looking deeply, that is one of our major problem. Even if we have a DM, if there is no creative and forward minded guy in the midfield we will keep on struggling to create clear cut chances. Jorginho passes mostly in short sideways direction. Kovacic have no clue once he gets near the opponent defence area, only kante tries to put in few good decisions. We really need a top creative midfielder.

I think it will be easier to pull black players from Serie A now that Italy will have a full throat fascist (with nazi elements) party in power

the racism there is already bonkers against the players of colour, and will only get worse

Amid the depression brought on by the rightward shift in politics, along with the downward shift in the intellectual and moral quality of leading politicians, this never occurred to me. You have a good point. A sad one, but a good one.

RB Leipzig's 24-year-old France forward Christopher Nkunku has already completed a medical ahead of joining Chelsea for £52m in next summer's transfer window. (Bild)

I don't think we have the full picture about how this medical came about, and what it tells us about the future intentions of the player and the clubs. What I think we can tell however is that a twelve-months old exam isn't going to satisfy the insurers in summer 2023. Another medical would have to be done so I'm not sure what to make of this story.

Edit: Unless a deal has actually been completed and all parties have agreed to keep it quiet for whatever reason. Could such a deal get done without leaking? Not sure about that either.

Skeptical of Nkunku deal, Werner looked a better player in Germany than him for Leipzig and look how that turned out here. Not saying its a given he can’t do well here but lets see what happens. Wouldn’t say he’s sure to hit the ground running like Haaland is. I mean Werner and Sancho are two prime examples that it can be difficult regardless of how well you do at the likes of a Dortmund or Leipzig

Sancho has been decent under Ten Hag.

Nkunku is a far more complete player than Werner. Not particularly close either.

Also - anyone would look good for City. They're the Bayern Munich of the EPL. Buy up all the talent, and make Pep look like the best manager in the world when in fact he has an unlimited bank account and now players force their way there.

Has Nkunku been good so far this season? I haven’t paid any attention to the Bundesliga.

Six goals in eight Bundeliga starts. (From stats. I haven't watched him.)

P.S. How odd is the Bundesliga? A top five league where they might as well hand out a trophy for finishing second. That's the real race after all.
