Fuck knows what his position actually is, we never figured it out either. I’ve been watching the match. He was pretty invisible. Arse fans trying to convince themselves that Havertz was suddenly going to be able to morph into an all round midfielder who does a bit of everything are in for a rude awakening. He let Bruno go with no one to defend him and he scored. He is also getting bullied in midfield. I think the game commentator called him awful today. Mhsc 1,097
£65m and £330kpw for the next 5 years is one hell of a gamble on him. I didn’t really realise he was on such huge salary with us and that they raised it a bunch when he joined them. Madness.

I can see why they signed him, he's got the tools to be a good player and maybe Arteta feels he can get more out of him. I'm just sort of shocked that Havertz was their first choice target...I thought he was Bayern bound or stuck with us.
Gundalf 805
Funny since all the targets we are being linked with are pretty young themselfs. xPetrCechx and bluesman2610
bluesman2610 1,417
Sign Caicedo, a CB with experience 25-28 years old and a GK in the range 28-31. I’d rock with what we have going into this season.

Pizy 18,903
Remember how massive the difference was for Liverpool when they stopped fucking around with average keepers and went out and got Alisson? He was a transformational player for their whole team. Thats what needs to happen with us. We need a serious keeper who inspires confidence in the entire side. Kepa is bang average and will cost us points. If we had a rock solid and experienced side in front of him he could be masked and “hidden.” But a young and basically all new team needs a dependable rock behind them and Kepa isn’t that. There’s gotta be something we can do. Something that doesn’t require us spending mega money.

Bono on a two/three year deal with the hope Slonina has a similar loan spell to the Snake. That would be the ideal scenario, and it would cost us peanuts in the process. I’d go after Sevilla shot stopper Bono. And for CB that’s a little trickier

Duppy Conqueror 1,534
Kudus be a good pick up,regular matchday squad member, with Poch wanting a smaller squad need a few utility players, and is potential to become more . But top keeper and DM by far the biggest need.luckily for us,pretty decent options compared to other positions. cosmicway 1,333
The new season is is not like previous seasons because we have some serious opposition. City, Arsenal and United back from the mothballs, Newcastle. Pool I don't fancy but should be mentioned plus anyone else who may turn up. Forget 2022-23 but during the two Tuchel seasons it was City-pool and nothing else really.

Insane how the club has got the wage bill down by a couple of million per week and there's still a high earner - Lukaku - to leave The structure seems a lot better now - Only James and Sterling on high wages
