Special Juan 28,558
I see no future for Delap at this club, we don't play a 2 together, he cannot play wide and he's a pretty shit back up

I am not making my mind up on him until at least the end of the season... If Cucurella and Rob Sanchez can turn it around when used right / given time, I am willing to give Delap a chance as well. He may yet have a useful squad role. He is a different profile to anything else we have had in years. Fernando

It's not premature, the hard facts are we bought a 30M championship striker that is way off what we need playing with one striker. I cannot judge Delap just on Rosenior's tenure, it has to be from the start, and based on that he has scored one goal in the PL and one in the CL accompanied by a red card. An overall on field performance is he has been shite, not offered anything of note and sort of typifies our middle of the road transfer policy of buying total and utter dross. Gittens has sucked so far but I can see the talent in him and believe he can eventually come good, however Delap just seems to lack quality. I said this to other players before like Rudiger or Cucurella, I hope I will be dead wrong again, let's see.

According to the comment above which describes the settlement, Chelsea are entitled to 20% of Liverpool's profit from a future transfer, not 20% of the total transfer fee the reds might receive. So the calculation would be based on the fee Liverpool receive (f), the basic £2.8m Liverpool initially paid Chelsea, and any bonuses (b) they may have paid to Chelsea before the player is sold on. So:- Chelsea's eventual sell on fee = (f - b - 2.8) x 0.2 Edited 8 hours ago by OhForAGreavsie Vesper

Special Juan 28,558
We'd be lucky to get anywhere near 30M for Delap, it will be the usual Chelsea way of continuous loans until he pulls up trees somewhere and then we get him back in hope he can turn it round here. Rinse and repeat

Brighton tried to get him on the cheap and develop him but that failed and he went to Strasbourg to develop. Normally I’d worry about tiny players like him but he looks like a pit bull of a character. Got that typical Argentine edge just like Enzo and many of the others we see. No guarantees, you’re right, but I think he’d be fine. Someone mentioned it already but we should bring Barco in and send Essugo the other way on loan to play every week for a season. kexik

Don't know why people keep mentioning him. He escaped England because of weather, wanted Spain so it's a non starter.

mkh 704
🔵🔥Liam Rosenior asked Chelsea for Valentin Barco. Bayern Munich also follows the player with interest. (@Augustocesar22 on @ESPNArgentina via @Perla_Londres) ESPN Argentina journalist: 💥🗯"Chelsea are quietly advancing for Julián Álvarez. They tell me there are conversations. Moreover, they told me that part of the agency or the agents who handle his transfer for Julián were in London this week watching the Chelsea-Arsenal match." kexik
