There's no guarantee that he would succeed in the PL as a midfielder.    Brighton tried to get him on the cheap and develop him but that failed and he went to Strasbourg to develop.

Normally I’d worry about tiny players like him but he looks like a pit bull of a character. Got that typical Argentine edge just like Enzo and many of the others we see.

No guarantees, you’re right, but I think he’d be fine. Someone mentioned it already but we should bring Barco in and send Essugo the other way on loan to play every week for a season.

According to the comment above which describes the settlement, Chelsea are entitled to 20% of Liverpool's profit from a future transfer, not 20% of the total transfer fee the reds might receive. So the calculation would be based on the fee Liverpool receive (f), the basic £2.8m Liverpool initially paid Chelsea, and any bonuses (b) they may have paid to Chelsea before the player is sold on. So:-

Chelsea's eventual sell on fee =

(- 2.8) x 0.2

Thanks, I misread it.

Julian Alvarez has 7 goals in 22 games in a weaker and more open La Liga, but he is the 9 we should be going after?

Don't know why people keep mentioning him. He escaped England because of weather, wanted Spain so it's a non starter.

🔵🔥Liam Rosenior asked Chelsea for Valentin Barco. Bayern Munich also follows the player with interest. (@Augustocesar22 on @ESPNArgentina via @Perla_Londres)

ESPN Argentina journalist:

💥🗯"Chelsea are quietly advancing for Julián Álvarez. They tell me there are conversations. Moreover, they told me that part of the agency or the agents who handle his transfer for Julián were in London this week watching the Chelsea-Arsenal match."

Was never remotely a realistic target. For us or anyone in the short term. He is Juve’s cornerstone player and their supporters would go berserk if they sold him already. He’ll be a Real Madrid or PSG player for mega money in a few years if he continues developing.

🚨🔵Chelsea are still very attentive to Morgan Rogers' situation and are big fans of the player. One to watch again in the summer. In case of a huge proposal, there could be a possibility for Rogers to try a new chapter.

🗯🙏Liam Delap’s former suitors are keeping a very close eye on developments at Stamford Bridge, sources informing that the striker is effectively playing for his Chelsea future in the second half of the campaign.
