Looks like contract was due to finish with Brighton in June 2026.

Will be interesting to see how the loan works with Strasbourg as we've already loaned them Penders and Paez.

It doesn’t. Sarr is also on loan. 3 players is max.

What a crock of shit.
We have literally won more trophies than them in our down period than they have in their brightest moment in 25 years.

We don’t win our first game, against a team that’s beaten Liverpool and City - and this nonsense starts coming out again.

Arsenal got battered around by Man United and got lucky to walk away with a win.

Don't think we have bridged the gap to Arsenal. They are closer to forming a league-winning team than we are. Signing players like Zubimendi, Eze shows they are a serious tactical project and Arteta is obsessed with building a team that has solutions to break down low-blocks.

As much as Maresca has found a way to play now, we don't have the same obsession as Arsenal if we are competing for Gittens/Garnacho in the same area of the pitch where Arsenal have signed Eze.

Eze isn’t that good lol. Jeez people act like he is a world beater on here.

Fofana made a fuss about Argentina and Enzo celebration on Copa. Now didn't like what Enzo said... He is so fragile and not only in his knees...

To be fair the first situation you mentioned was pretty bad not only Fofana most of our black French players were unhappy with Enzo because of his participation in those celebrations. This is a separate issue unhappy with your manager so you go to social media definitely shows a lack of character. As a professional footballer you should be able to take constructive criticism especially if what being said is true.

I'm not Maresca's biggest fan but whilst being somewhat impeded by our clubs policy of youth above everything else and Arsenal supposedly doing everything for Arteta to succeed,Enzo has won more in 1 season than Arteta has won in 6.

And in the CWC has won something that Arteta, or Arsenal come to that, will quite probably never win.

It’s only Miguel Delaney I’ve seen report it and he gets more wrong than right, but he says Spuds will now turn to Morgan Rogers as the alternative to Eze.

Would really suck to see a player I really like going there of all places.

We should have kept the powder dry for a Rogers bid - Will cost Gittens + Garnacho money

Bullshit for sure, if he was available we would've been all over it.

Another day with zero movement around Nkunku or Jackson.

I have a bad feeling one of them won't go or we'll end up doing some stupid loan deal like we did with Sterling (believe we paid two thirds of his wage).

Jackson to a Serie A seems like something that will build momentum should Villa not sell Watkins.

Enzo Maresca has confirmed Nicolas Jackson and Christopher Nkunku will not be in the Chelsea squad to face West Ham United on Friday despite being available for selection.

Jackson was suspended for the club’s opening match against Crystal Palace while Nkunku did not make the bench for the 0-0 draw on Sunday despite being fit.

Both players are up for sale and Maresca has already put summer signings Joao Pedro and Liam Delap ahead of the forwards in the pecking order.

Maresca said: “He (Nico) is available but he is not going to be part of the squad because we have two strikers in that position and also something can happen before the window closes. Christo is with us like Nico but he (his future) is the same answer as Nico.”

Jackson has attracted interest from Premier League clubs while RB Leipzig have stepped up talks over re-signing Nkunku.

When asked if there is a way back for the duo in his plans if neither get a transfer before the deadline on September 1, he added: “No idea to be honest. It is not the moment. There are still two weeks to go (till the deadline). It’s difficult to plan because anything can happen.”

Maresca has also revealed that defender Aaron Anselmino, who was not involved against Crystal Palace, is being lined up for a loan.

Maresca said: “He is a good player but he needs to play games, he needs to go (on Loan) and he is another player that is waiting for a solution.”

Meanwhile, defender Tosin Adarabioyo is available to return from injury but Romeo Lavia (muscular) and Benoit Badiashile (leg) are still sidelined.

I’m fully prepared/expecting that we’ll work something out which will see Nkunku go but that Jackson will stay in the end.

Which means one of Xavi o Garnacho won’t happen.
