Would really suck to see a player I really like going there of all places. Bullshit for sure, if he was available we would've been all over it. I have a bad feeling one of them won't go or we'll end up doing some stupid loan deal like we did with Sterling (believe we paid two thirds of his wage). Jackson to a Serie A seems like something that will build momentum should Villa not sell Watkins. Edited 9 hours ago by LAM09

Nicolas Jackson, Christopher Nkunku to be left out of Chelsea squad vs. West Ham https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/6566741/2025/08/21/Chelsea-transfers-nicolas-jackson-nkunku/ Enzo Maresca has confirmed Nicolas Jackson and Christopher Nkunku will not be in the Chelsea squad to face West Ham United on Friday despite being available for selection. Jackson was suspended for the club’s opening match against Crystal Palace while Nkunku did not make the bench for the 0-0 draw on Sunday despite being fit. Both players are up for sale and Maresca has already put summer signings Joao Pedro and Liam Delap ahead of the forwards in the pecking order. Maresca said: “He (Nico) is available but he is not going to be part of the squad because we have two strikers in that position and also something can happen before the window closes. Christo is with us like Nico but he (his future) is the same answer as Nico.” Jackson has attracted interest from Premier League clubs while RB Leipzig have stepped up talks over re-signing Nkunku. Chelsea must find a way to become the sum of their spending in the final third if the world champions are to become English champions again When asked if there is a way back for the duo in his plans if neither get a transfer before the deadline on September 1, he added: “No idea to be honest. It is not the moment. There are still two weeks to go (till the deadline). It’s difficult to plan because anything can happen.” Maresca has also revealed that defender Aaron Anselmino, who was not involved against Crystal Palace, is being lined up for a loan. Maresca said: “He is a good player but he needs to play games, he needs to go (on Loan) and he is another player that is waiting for a solution.” Meanwhile, defender Tosin Adarabioyo is available to return from injury but Romeo Lavia (muscular) and Benoit Badiashile (leg) are still sidelined. I’m fully prepared/expecting that we’ll work something out which will see Nkunku go but that Jackson will stay in the end. Which means one of Xavi o Garnacho won’t happen. TheHulk 2,467
9 minutes ago, Pizy said: Who is going to buy him for the tens of millions that we’d need? Leipzig and many PL clubs will want to buy him for 25-30m, extremely young and very talented. Of course I hope it doesn't come to this and we sell those 2 but we will easily offload George for good money if it comes to it which is what I think these guys have in mind as a back up plan if Jackson or Nkunku doesn't go. Pizy 18,928
Ask and you shall receive. Soon as I say there’s nothing new on Jackson, boom, Fabrizio tweets. Villa would be a great move for him. Hard to see them paying the fee necessary for us to sell him, though. Unless there’s truth to Rogers going to Spuds…

Frustrating though that couple of smarter decisions this summer would have bridged the gap to Arsenal. We are short of the quality Arsenal/Liverpool have in their first XI. Winning one knockout tournament doesn't change that and the aim around Chelsea has to be winning the league.
