Chelsea Transfers

Alphonso Davies - There has been no change in Alphonso Davies’ situation despite reports stating that he is leaning towards signing a new deal with Bayern Munich. The player has a new contract proposal from Bayern and Real Madrid are waiting to see what he does. We just have to wait and see what the full-back decides. If Davies wants to leave, Real Madrid will make their move, but the La Liga champions will only proceed with favourable conditions.

Crysencio Summerville - Liverpool and Chelsea have both been scouting Crysencio Summerville for months, but then in terms of negotiations, nothing has started yet. Talk of the Reds no longer being interested in the winger can’t be true as it is still early for this transfer. The appreciation from both clubs is still there, so we have to see if they decide to approach Leeds for Summerville at some point during the transfer window.

See we’re buying yet another Brazilian teenager 🤣🤣🤣🙃🙃🙃

In a year or two’s time the squad is going to show up for preseason and have about 15 “super talents” that are 17-18 years old. No idea what we’re going to do with all these kids.

oh,🤬 no

One striker looks desperate to join Chelsea this summer.

The Blues could bring in a new centre-forward when the transfer window opens, with Enzo Maresca arguably in need of one.

His predecessor, Mauricio Pochettino, finished last season with just one natural striker in his squad, Nicolas Jackson.

That is unlikely to be enough for Chelsea next term if they want to qualify for the Champions League.

To help ease the burden on Jackson, they could turn to one of their Premier League rivals.

Premier League star eyeing Chelsea move

Chelsea have recruited a lot of players from within the Premier League recently.

For example, last summer, they signed both Moises Caicedo and Robert Sanchez from Brighton & Hove Albion. They could now raid another English top-flight club.

According to the Daily Mirror (page 72, 09/06/2024), Chelsea retain an interest in Aston Villa’s Jhon Duran after targeting him in the January transfer window.

The same publication has also claimed that Duran has instructed his agent to get a deal done, so a move this summer looks more than possible.

Will Chelsea make a move for Jhon Duran this summer?

Right now, Chelsea’s interest in Duran looks to be just that. Their priority for the centre-forward position seems to be RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko.

Journalist Simon Phillips has claimed that the Blues have already communicated to Leipzig that they are prepared to activate Sesko’s release clause.

However, there is no guarantee that Chelsea will land the 21-year-old, with Arsenal and Manchester United also said to be keen on him.

Should Sesko end up joining one of those clubs, then Chelsea may decide to go after Duran, who has been described as a “special player” by his current manager Unai Emery.

Duran made 23 appearances for Villa in the Premier League last season, scoring five goals along the way. He scored a brace against Liverpool and one goal versus Manchester City, so he clearly has potential.

I've heard great things about the pressing and work rate of both Alvarez and Olise, so it'd be great to get someone like that in.

Jackson is a hard worker pressing. Cole does his bit, Nkunku does his bit. Another absolute terror up front would be good.

I am honestly not too worried about Olise, sesko, Alvarez or any of the goalkeepers we have been linked with. They all have reasonable reputation, injury record and somewhat adequate price ranges. What I don’t want is dropping another 100m on some hype boy with dodgy knees or just one decent season. Also the links to meh players like Dobvyk, Calvert Lewin and Upamecano would get me wondering if our board have actually learned anything if there were any substance to it.

if we get them with a decent fee, it would be very good deals for us

Everton saving us.

Good fee. Hopefully they wrap it up soon.

Shame things didn’t quite go smoothly for Broja here, there is a decent player in there just doubtful he’s ever going to be the level we need. Plus, still properly needs to play every week to develop and gain form/momentum. Dyche may get a tune out of him in all fairness.

Still remember the our own Haaland shouts after he scored 7 goals or something for Southampton 🤣 Should have went on loan again following that.
