The news has hit RAWK about Lavia

All those euphoric "Big Jorg is playing poker", "Nobody fecks with Big Jorg" posts from the early weekend have disappeared into the ether
A bit like the man himself to be fair.
Maybe he's busy doing his job and not going out shopping or drinking?

...

I really dont understand the calls for Paulinha he is 28, 70/80m for a player who will be deadwood in the way we play in two years is he worth £35/40m a season?
We sign him for £60M use him for 2 years and then sell him to Saudi for £40M, would that not be worth it?
Saudi would not go in for him, he is not a big enough name. They are buying names to big up thier league

...

I have missed stuff - So for any other public sector workers on a 3 hour lunch
Rumours we had a £60M bid accepted for Lavia,
RAWK outrage that were paying £60m for a 19 yo
rumour rubbished by Ian Doyle
Rumours he prefers Chelsea resulting in
RAWK outrage were actually not paying £60M for a 19 yo
Plus some stuff about FSG and FFP
As a public sector worker, I demand to know why I don't appear to have the option of a 3 hour lunch

...

Haha, seems like we went from feeling able to sign anyone on the planet, even Mbappe, to haggling with the the local greengrocer for a bunch of out of date lemons.
Yeah, but is there a decent No.6 among those lemons?

...

Caicedo has just followed the entire Chelsea team on Instagram plus Romeo Lavia. I think we can write that one off.
We have well and truly fecked this up.
I wouldn’t read too much into Caicedo following Lavia, he follows everyone.
Except Liverpool

...

This window is quickly turning into a shit show, Caicedo gone and if Lavia also chooses Chelsea it's not the end of the world but does make us look like a club on the rocks. Our players & manager coming out asking for players, captain leaving and Salah losing it.
Nothing has officially happened yet, Lavia is likely going to the muppets.
So we are getting him!
Great stuff
It’s over mate.
Caicedo and him are best friends and sharing a house together in London / Surrey.
They share a bed like Morecambe and Wise

...

As of right now it's just some of the Chelsea journalists saying we have a bid accepted, with not even Tap In a part of that. Ian Doyle (who isn't massively reliable anyway) says we think he goes Chelsea, but has no knowledge of a bid being put in.

Frankly I don't think we have bid for him, in which case I am in a state of seeing who else we are looking at.
Get on the Andre train with me. I have watched a video and read some posts on here that seem positive so I am all in. It's easy this transfer malarkey
But some posters seem to think he is more suited to play DM for Lilliput Wanderers rather than LFC
Good team, technically superb but shit in the air

...

I Really hope Chelsea don't find out we are trying to sign McTomminey;);)

If Lavia comes and with Andrey being the huge talent he is, I really have no clue why we felt the need to buy Ugochukwu for €27m. What is his path to the first team in that scenario? I’d personally rather we keep Santos here rather than Ugo. Him getting sub appearances, starts in the cups, and training with world class players will be huge for his development.

Santos can cover for Enzo so i'd keep him too and Ugo 50/50. I'm not in the brigade that focused on our pre-season formation being set in stone as our in season primary tho.Midfield 3 means we should keep 6 ,at maximum 7.

We bought Ugo before we bought/knew we was going to get better players.injuries/suspensions happen..he was still worth getting.

What does this sell-on clause mean? Real Madrid can buy him in 3 years and there's nothing we can do about it?

sell on clause means that Brighton get a cut of the transfer fee when we sell Caicedo

we insert them when we sell all the time, but do not often agree to them for our buys

If we sell Caicedo in a few years, Im sure Boehly will find a loophole to not having to pay this fee.

One game in and the remarks about Mount on RedCafe

I don’t get it.

Good player, not what we needed. Square peg in a round hole.

He will probably win the ball back a bit but I feel we wouldn’t need to win it back as much if we had a midfielder that is actually a midfielder. Mount is the English Van de Beek.

Completly shite, but we knew this and still signed him. We'll be overrun in every game if he plays and its bad when Erikson comes on and adds more steel to our midfield.

Was like watching lingard once again, a lot of pointless running around rarely in any position to make much of an impact be it on attack or defense.

We have bought Fred.
Which is not what we needed.

I never really saw what he does that's anything special for England or Chelsea and that was more of the same.

Just garbage and a waste of money.

He is worse than Fred. He is hiding. At least Fred tried. This guy is hiding. How many times did he touch the ball? 12? No shots, no chances created? I mean wtf

To be honest, we’ve simply bought Mason Mount.

😲

As a whole United were poor and made Wolves look pretty impressive which normally is easier said than done. Wolves outdone them and had superiority in midfield, particularly when Matheus Nunes got going. Pity Wolves didn’t have a half decent striker because they would of won the game if so.

Casemiro, Mount, Fernandes is going to leave them very unbalanced based off of tonight (although still early). Not getting Rice/Caicedo/someone of that moulds going to be a mistake on their behalf, particularly in bigger games. And a good job too because having one of them types of players with Casemiro and a Mount/Fernandes, they would be a totally different proposition I think.

I do think if Fernandes didn’t make the pass before the assist, United fans would be slating him as badly as Mount though, he was extremely poor and went missing.

Always great to see obscure or smaller clubs in South American/European leagues getting such a huge payout from these sort of deals. And what a great way to use it.

Maybe buy them for the multi club model 😂 ?

Just need to get a top GK and maybe a CF sorted, if Lavia is coming in. Few loans on the outgoing side too and we will be good to go I think

Bold arse long term prediction.

if Caicedo does indeed end up going to Real Madrid it will be a Caicedo plus cash deal for Bellingham in about 4 years time. and we avoid giving then 3rd tier Brighton (because they will be good for another year but are harming their future recruitment in several ways) a sell on fee.

Jude as a Englishman will at some point want to compete for PL and FA Cups.don't see him shitting in a bucket in spain for the next 10 years.

Sell on clause is pretty irrelevant for a player we’ve spent so much on. If Real Madrid or PSG want him in 3 years (they’re the only clubs who could dream of affording him)  it would be because he had been excellent for us. And in that scenario we would demand what, £150m for him? More? Nobody is paying that for a DM.

Yeah no one is paying above 100 million pounds for a DM...

Tbf, they were pretty harsh on Bruno in his performance thread. They were also not very happy with the fitness level of the entire team.

As over he moon with Caicedo and Lavia as the next guy but can anyone tell me why we need this many midfielders of the same age bracket.
Next year when the loanees return we will have

Enzo

caicedo

lavia

santos

casadei

Ugo

gallagher

thats complete overkill. Even with a midfield 3 that’s 2 too many. Hopefully one can still become a striker lol

Partially agreed. The game today against Wolves was mostly about fitness; wolves players were simply running past United players as if they were cones for 90+. They also won most 50/50 disputes. It was quite an achievement for United and the officials to pick up the 3 points. Yeah Wolves finishing wasn't there.

Fans will always see what they want to see.

seems that Chelsea will not buy another center forward

what do you think about this?

I would have purchased a veteran 30+ one on the cheap, like we did with Giroud (and that worked out VERY well)

my dream buy for that is impossible, (Immobile) as he likely will not leave Lazio until he is truly rinsed (and perhaps not even then)

he lives around a ten, 15 minute walk from Stadio Olimpico

Ciro Immobile receives the first Golden Boot of his career

after him

Borja Iglesias
Gerard Moreno
Mehdi Taremi
Gaëtan Laborde
Wissam Ben Yedder
Niclas Füllkrug
Jhon Córdoba
Andrea Belotti
Duván Zapata
Marko Arnautovic
Luis Muriel
Paulinho    Sporting CP
