Was Nkunku even supposed to be that nr. 10, CAM? Because he barely played in this position in preseason, with Chukwu starting as CAM in 3 of the 4 preseason games, with Nkunku playing more on the left instead of Mudryk.

Yeah, Adams is pretty Kante-like in his ability to seek and destroy the ball carrier. He’s an awesome “destroyer” and a decent footballer, too.

Purely as a squad option his profile makes sense. In terms of numbers in midfield when if we have Caicedo, Adams, Ugo, Andrey, Casadei, and Gallagher next season I have no clue what we’re gonna do.

Big teams need good midfield players who are excellent on the ball. "Destroyers" work better in smaller clubs where the team does not have the ball as much. The first thing that happens when a destroyer joins a big club is his tackle % goes way down.

Yeah, the tackling stats from last season are pretty misleading when taking them in a vacuum. Leeds were struggling and playing back to the wall football all season trying to save themselves from the drop. So of course they spent most of their time defending and without the ball so Adams had more opportunities to tackle and put up monster defensive stats.

That being said, I think his specific skill set can easily translate to anywhere he goes. He’s one of those high motor, super “try hard” players who will run their socks off no matter what.

Can see him being useful in late game situations against tired legs. Or perhaps if Poch wanted to play with 3 in midfield against certain big teams like City or Arse where we are likely not to dominate all the possession you can comfortably play Adams and Caicedo with Enzo more advanced. Two tackling machines who cover the whole pitch.

This is true but weren’t Leeds rather progressive last season?

Well considering the grief Gallagher and Mount have got  from some of our online fans, this guy is probably going to become another whipping boy if that is what his skill set is.

It’s going to be crazy if Juve push through the Lukaku move when their supporters are so against it. And then even crazier that Lukaku himself has the balls to shit all over Inter and then force his way to a rival Italian club.

He gonna get booed by both his own fans and Inter fans next season?

Idk, I still have a sneaking suspicion that he’s going to end up in Saudi somehow. Might get too toxic with Juve.

Todd can call in a favor from his Saudi buddies and get one of them to offer us 80m for Rom.
