Agreed, with Caicedo we are set and with these other younger players we will be stacked.

No more need for another Midfielder. Just focus on striker. I think we can get by with GK for right now since no good option available.

So won’t caicedo and Enzo not stand on each others toes?

Of we really want to free up Enzo we need someone with sublime tactical ability, positioning, discipline who stays back and protects the defense. That is not caicedo. Can’t see him succeed here in our current set up

I think we play a midfield three under Poch. A DM partnered with Caicedo and Enzo.

Nkunku as an inside forward.

Neither of them are ready. City manage to have sustained success because they know when to inject the team with quality so that it remains hungry.

Injecting Santos, Casadei, Paez, that Benfica lad and all of our other young signings in the future will keep the team competitive.

Has any African nation won the World Cup? Or any meaningful competition? Has Mexico? That's something that is acquired... not declared.

Just take a look at African WC qualifying, for starters, and you'll see most of the best nations have a hard time reaching a WC, let alone performing on the biggest stages. Also, if there are other people with the same train of thought as you who are seemingly profiling people from the Africa as being inept in one way or another, you can see why it's an uphill battle for them to even be treated fairly.

There's a reason Weah is still the only African to win the Ballon d'Or, and it has nothing to do with the talent of those who have followed him.

What african player was unfairly denied a ballon d'or?

Am I the only person that doesn't understand supporting two teams?

I don't get it.

If you have dual nationality, it's rather common to support a team that was local to you when you were younger or more mainstream in your country. I doubt Chelsea were that renowned two decades ago overseas.

People who randomly wake up in their thirties with half-and-half scarves is when you ought to start questioning things.

we have no idea if they are ready. they are not much younger than a 100 million worth caicedo. we also have chukwuemeka.

buying an another midfielder (especially a really young one) is a dumb move when we desperately need players in other areas.

Eto'o.

Drogba and Yaya Toure should have been the conversation at their peaks. Salah would have had a very solid case had he won the CL during his first season at Liverpool as well (Ramos thuggery).

What other areas? Midfield is a priority, or do you really intend to head into matchweek 1 against Liverpool with Santos and Carney partnering Enzo?

Give me Caicedo, a strong DM, and a ST and we are good to go.

Enzo

Caicedo

New DM

Santos

Carney

Essien happened to be my favorite player during that era. Mikel was shit. Drogba an amazing world class player. Big fan of Mendy as you can check my posts in his thread. So what?
What has race to do with any of that? I talking about footballing knowledge, tactics, coaches, etc check my previous post:

I'm originally from Brazil and think Brazil footballing knowledge is extremely high, like Argenine. Perhaps not as high as certain European countries who excel tactically, but still very high.

There's a reason the majority of France were angry after a large number of the French 2018 WC winning squad stated the triumph was for Africa.

If only times were different or players had to play for the country of their birth (country unrest aside).

God. I hate this greedy cheap club so much. At least he will champion every year in farmers league. They got the best Centre Back in the world right now. You will see guys he will be so dominant. I wish we bought him as Silva replacment. We missed big chance. Btw hes release clause is 35mln if i remember. Thats crazy deal for such a beast.

Morocco just made it to the World Cup semi final, which is a result of the King investing more money into football academies in the country back in 2008.

Funding and investment is severely lacking.

Many great players who have never won a Ballon d'or.  Saying it is due to racism as you implied is far-fetched, to put it nicely.

That helps, but where do most of the squad play currently?

There's no doubt Europe is the best place for young players to develop, learn from the best coaches, and have the chance to play at the highest level. Those chances have been severely lacking for years, not to mention the amount of exploitation, which is well documented.
