wow, so if true, we did double Arse (if they only offered £50K PW)

so the entire salary load for Mudryk over 8.5 years is only around £43m

for KK, in less than HALF the time period, we are dumping out close to £62m

around 20m quid MORE for less than half the time

It says Arsenal offered 10k less than Chelsea so not a big difference.

Hopefully an Italian club will save us from the KK wage bill...

Shakhtar CEO Palkin: “Chelsea’s offer for Mudryk has no Ballon d’Or clause. It is achievable bonuses that we feel can be reached.”

Bonuses are €30m — and all related to Champions League and Premier League wins during next years.

📰 Newcastle, Everton, Southampton and Nottingham Forest have enquired about signing Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher (Mail)

@Vesper  would you sacrifice Conor Gallagher (for a good fee) if it helps us get Caicedo?

already said £50m and it's bye bye Conor for me

we have to sell players, and he can fetch more than he is worth keeping IMHO

the quality of MFers we have and will bring in are beyond him (if not this instant, then soon)

we do need to sort out Homegrown issues (I think the whole HG thing is stupid, why force teams to carry players who are not as good as what's out there on the international market? Fuck England's national team, seriously, they will be fine)

and FUCK Brexit and the 18yo old rule for foreign players (but fuck it in general as well, it does far more damage than bloody football)

all that is why I was more than happy to see us linked with Matty Cash as the reserve RB (I already had suggested him for ages as a possible option)

Noni Madueke is HG, a left footer, can play wingback in a pinch, and is not crazy expensive, so no issues for him as a RWer option

I knew that £30K PW figure that the goona fanbois were pushing was bollocks

Wasn't it always obvious the figures from £30-50K a week were bullshit? No player who moves for a fee nearing €100M will accept wages of £1.5-2.5M a year, that's ridiculous. If they did their agent should be sacked on the spot.

Even the 'confirmed' £97K/week seems low for a transfer that big so maybe there are some performance clauses that can increase his total wage package.

It is still a big transfer but small solace that it is a 62m fee up front and 97k/week salary. Wage structure is not disbalanced by that.

Yeah at first glance it seemed like another terrible overpayment by the new owners but now after getting some specifics it doesn't look too bad. Salary is very reasonable and the add-ons will only be triggered if we win the PL/CL sometime during the contract and if that happens I couldn't care less about some extra payment.

The base fee of £62M is big but to put it into perspective it's not much more than the ones paid for Jorginho, Pulisic, Cucurella and is less than Kepa and Havertz were. If he's a flop it seems really big but if he's a success it's not even worth mentioning because good players go for fees like that all the time now.

The problem is that Madueke will roll up and down on that RW side in a wheelchair.

Im so afraid of his injury record

The Caicedo stuff should start to heat up today if Ben Jacobs is to be believed since he is under a new agent now. But surely if Brighton are going to reluctantly sell a key player any move will have to happen very soon you would think. They won’t have time to get someone else in otherwise.

So if we are indeed after him a move probably has to happen this week or at least well before deadline day.

Havertz is 100% someone I feel would make us regret selling. Still very young, still has fantastic upside if we have a team around him preforming well.

Imo, we shouldn’t even consider moving him on despite how annoying his form has been recently. He’d go to another big team and be a beast.

Fantastic upside? Really? Where are you seeing this?

He has done next to fuck all for the last 2 years nearly and even then barring maybe a little spell with Tuchel, the majority of his time here is heavily questionable. When you consider the cost, the hype, he’s not convinced. At all. He is 23 and nobody here can be 100% sure if he is a CF or a number 10. Some may say that it makes him flexible, but for me, thats not always a good thing as he doesn’t particularly seem to excel at anything you would associate with those positions. There’s rumblings the club see him as a 10 long term but our past 2 managers, including the one who is supposedly here for the long term plan, have been using him as a CF. Thats a story in itself about him as much as any other attacking players we have too.

What I don’t get is that people are quick to throw guys like Mount under the bus but still hold out hope for Kai despite the fact Mount has definitely done much much more in the same time Kai has been here.
