It looks like Sporting will accept our bid. We are going to submit a new bid to Juve for de Ligt that Bayren has already said they will not match and Juve has said de Ligt  is leaving. Always the chance Sterling concludes. Chelsea want to finish one or two signings before the team leaves for pre-season this weekend.

Chelsea could raise their offer for Matthijs de Ligt in the next few hours. Meanwhile, Bayern are unwilling to match any offers made by Chelsea and are working on an agreement with De Ligt instead.

The dumbest thing about some of these players we’re linked with is that they should be pretty straightforward and easy.

Take Sterling for example. Everyone knows he wants to leave City, everyone knows he wants to come to Chelsea, City are said to be perfectly willing to let him go, and all credible sources have put forward a price that is widely thought acceptable to City. So why isn’t that deal done yet?

Likewise, Koundé. We’ve known for like a year what Sevilla want, the player wants out, Sevilla themselves have been openly stating that he can go, and we desperately need CB’s. Again, how is a deal for him not done and dusted?

Some of the bigger deals like De Ligt are understandably taking longer but Sterling has no other suitors but us…

The kit launch was supposed to be today (the club has already put up some of the boards to promote it out and around Stamford Bridge), but it's apparently been delayed until tomorrow now.

There's been talk for a while that they've kept pushing back the kit launch as they'd like it to be alongside a new signing so delaying it a further day might suggest there is something close to being done.

If this is true the safe money would be on Sterling as there's been reports for a few days now the deal is as good as done. Sterling I believe has been back to Jamaica which is why things might have gone a bit quiet with it.
