Frenkie De Jong seems like a saga that will be CR7 in reverse. Everyone and their mother assumes he’ll joking ten Hag at United but I can see Guardiola really pushing to get him instead. Which will cause RedCafe to crash for a week. 😂

From what it sounds like the new board are big on Tuchel and ready to essentially give him the keys to the kingdom like klopp and pep have had.

So long as we don't tank, I think this needs to be looked upon as at least a 2 year project to build towards challenging for the title. With this in mind and considering how many positions probably need being worked on I'd rather we don't try and do everything this summer if the right player isn't available. The best player available in some positions might still not be good enough and I'm getting those vibes in centre midfield.

Let's position ourselves over the next year or two to get Rice at a lower fee when his contract winds down a little or look to be the young exciting team on the up which may prove attractive to Bellingham.

This summer a pair of centre backs is a must and I'd love us to address our wing back options and bring in Dembele if possible. For me Perisic and Djed Spence would bring genuine depth in quality in the wing back roles without costing a fortune. One is obviously a short term fix but like Silva proved it shouldn't be dismissed due to age if the player is still good enough to offer something.

5 players like above shouldn't be anywhere close to £200m like is being bandied around but if I'm honest I'd rather us be spending more money next summer when we've had more time for the new ownership to lay the foundations for things with regards to scouting, recruitment, etc.

Imagine keeping Werner and Lukaku but selling Broja.

Honestly think Broja should go out on another PL loan next season. See if he’s good enough for Chelsea or not. Didn’t show enough this season and we can’t really afford to let him learn on the job here.

If we can't shift either of our current CF's, he ought to be given a chance to prove his worth.

Sell all 3. None of then are good enough.

This is the issue with our fans. I don't mean this specifically at you, @DDA but when Broja was firing, there was such a large majority who were stating this is why we should of given Broja a chance and not wasted money on Lukaku. Others saying he needs to be playing upfront next season with Havertz. Now he has struggled for a few games, he is suddenly not good enough. He is just 20! He needs to be given time and work on few things but this is where likes of Mourinho went wrong and backfired on him.

When our rivals will have Salah, Mané, Diaz, Haaland, Kane, Son etc I just don’t think we can afford having a raw, unproven kid playing a major role and learning on the job. If we already had a reliable 25 goal per season striker in our side and Broja was coming in strictly as a League Cup/FA Cup/squad player then fine. I don’t want us to have multiple unreliable forwards on the books again. We need killers not projects.

For me he needs the Connor Gallagher treatment. Go to a smaller PL club and play every match. If he improves dramatically on what he showed at Southampton then he’ll be ready the next season.

I see you mention letting Broja go out on loan again, but I'm yet to see you mention a single CF option, or are you content with us trying our luck with Lukaku & Werner for another year?

Sell Werner and one of Ziyech or Pulisic, buy Nkunku, and sign Dembele on a free.

Much as I’d love to move Lukaku I don’t think there’s a chance of that. So yes, he’ll still be here. Between he, Nkunku, and Havertz that should be plenty of goals.

Nkunku does not look Chelsea quality. Prefer Sterling.

Even though you wasn't aiming the response at me specifically, I will say that I said that in jehst and many truths can be spoken in jehst. I wasnt one of those who were crying for Broja to become our new number 9 when he scored a handful of goals at Southampton either. I really can't see what the hype is about but I'm obviously hopeful that I'm as wrong ad could be when I say in jehst, that he isn't good enough for Chelsea.

Nkunku looks a fantastic player. Really intelligent footwork when on the ball and seems to have that killer instinct for goal which we desperately need. Now the jury is always out on a player who shines in the Bundesliga based on the recent experiences of Werner and Havertz. Yes Havertz, because for me he still hasn't justified his price tag, bar delivering a CL with the only goal of the game. Our scouts should have seen Werners necessity for space which is why I think Nkunku could be a different prospect. He seems to have the tools to work in tight spaces which nearly 98% of our current roster can't do.
