I have a sneaking suspicion that we will be linked with and sign a striker out of the blue that nobody was really thinking or speculating about. Who that is I have no clue.

But my point is an increase in price on a deadwood is not good in the current circumstances. If a club want to suddenly fork out say 30 million for Emerson, then great! But in reality, we know that's not going to happen because we're in a pandemic, a lot of clubs are trying to save money. At the end of the day, it comes to down whether clubs can match the asking price of the club for the player. If not, they'll just move onto the next target.

You are talking about two entirely different things here. You and I are in complete agreement that Emerson's value is not going to increase as a result of one or two appearances at the Euros. I expect that everyone here agrees with us about that reality. When we are considering the theoretical possibility that his value TO POTENTIAL BUYERS increases however, that only helps Chelsea. There is no scenario under which this situation would be bad for Chelsea or the player. Remember it is the situation where Emerson's value,  VALUE not price, increases that we have been discussing.

Chelsea can name any price they want but a deal can only be reached when Chelsea and a potential buyer agree on a fee. Under all circumstances if the buyer is prepared to pay more today than they were prepared to pay yesterday that makes it easier for Chelsea to find such an agreement. THE INCREASED VALUE HELPS Chelsea IT NEVER HURTS THEM.

Are we serious ? We are considering this Lewis as an alternative to Haland ? Tuchel has gone nuts if this is true or gambling big time and putting his ass on the line.

DCL is a great option, IF he comes at a fair price, which is doubtful (btw, it is Lewin, not Lewis)

This lad has over 125,000 subscribers. He seems a nice bloke and I'm pleased for him that hIs channel is a success but I really don't see why. There is no news value in what he says because it is all published elsewhere first. Yes, he has opinions but so does everyone.

Still, good luck to him with the channel. I wish him well.

But we may (likely) not get Håland or Mbappe or Lewa or Lukaku or Kane.

We so need other options at CF. Isak is now off the board, leaving DCL and Vlahovic as the last 2 I truly rate to buy, plus Lautaro, he doesn't seem a good fit. Jonathan David needs another year seasoning for me to make that call, unless we really do roll the iron dice.

Nothing special at all left after all I listed. Gabriel Jesus?? As if Pep would sell to us anyway, unless we plonked down £90-100m, which is insane.

This all is IF, I state again, we fail on the big 5 above.

I'm a non believer when it comes to Gabriel. When he was being linked to City, and reported to be replacing Aguero, I posted here to say that I would be delighted if that happened. I thought Gabriel would be a serious downgrade. He's not good enough for Manchester City. if they persevere with him then that's good news in my book If they manage to offload him to us I'll be disappointed

I probably was not clear enough. I do NOT, repeat do NOT want Gabriel. Do not rate him. I was just posting him as what/who would be tossed up as a rebuttal to my only acceptable targets to step right in.

My list has been pretty stable, and most know I have rated DCL for several years, so this not Vesper hopping on some new bandwagon for him.

If I am talking about two entirely different things here, then so are you. I don't know why you keep on going about the value here when I have been talking about the price start and it was Hashishi's point to begin with. At the end of the fucking day, if no club are willing to pay the asking price, then it means fucking all.

If you want to keep on going about such an innocuous stuff, then agree to disagree.

Doku was outstanding yesterday, I am sure he will be fetching money from the top tiers soon. I would be happy if we can sign him as a rotation but will cost pretty.

I want him so will can simply call him Count Doku.

I suggest that you read your own posts. I agree with you however that we've exhausted this conversation.
