There's a league cup game against Barnsley next week, assuming the deal is finalised in time that should be a good opportunity to introduce Mendy to the team and get some much needed match fitness for others too (Silva, RLC, CHO to name a few). Maybe Chilwell could play a part too if he's fit enough.

The board is right this time, Lampard is a gullible self proclaimed nationalist no other reason why guys like Zakaria or natural centre backs like Upamecano aren't mentioned. Instead we get talked about an average England player who Lampard wants to convert into a CB. Same thing can be said about Chilwell but gave him the benefit of the doubt in that one because there were no other alternatives considering the Reguilon buy back option.

I never wanted Chilwell. Wanted Telles with us for ages.

I also was worried that FL saw himself as the saviour to the England team. And try to make us a all HG club. And while i think both Mason and Rice are daft as brushes I see they are proper ballers.

Rice is very vocal which we dont have anyone who is apart from Jorgi on occasions. I think Rice could be good for us.
