I think we should go for Theo Hernandez,he helps his team attack from the left wing and scores much more than the attackers at AC MILAN.Lampard said he wants goalscoring players, then why don't him sign a goalscoring defender like Hernandez? :)

I think his dream was to play for AC Milan.

we should look for other LBs.I liked Ben Chilwell before i watched his performance against man city,he was struggling to defend against Mahrez.I think we should get Ake,bcoz he can play also as a LB.We can have him as a LB for about 2 years until Maatsen developes,or we can buy Chilwell(for about 75mil) and watch Mahrez making him suffer :)

Big moves only in summer.

There is a debate to make.
This year is lost.
Don't waste your time thinking about 4th place.

I would start by hiring a coach for next summer.
A coach!
And for the future.
For a serious project.

Ten Hag or Nagelsmann would be my bets.
And serious investment would be made for this project.

This year be pragmatic.
Let's not dream about what is not possible

I fear the worst.
That none of this will be done.
You will burn all the money stupidly.
Lampard will be out late and badly.

We will eventually knock on Marco Si

I'm curious with your reasoning.

If I choose to be 'pragmatic' why would top 4 not be a possibility?

We are one match away from being halfway through the season, and regardless of the result we would be at least be level on points with 4th place at least.

This is despite us starting the first half of the season with several players injured, and no transfer window. If I was pragmatic, I would assume the second half to yield even better results.

You can play negative Nancy, as you are entitled to your opinion, but I'm not sure why you want others to adopt that view.

I stopped reading at "get a new coach"... Ludicrous

I've no problem with us buying Ake and I think he has what it takes to be first choice centre back here, but we shouldn't be buying him to play left back.

The versatility aspect is a blessing, and is part of the reason why I would want us to retain Azpi after this season as a squad player (capable of playing across the defence, back 4, back 5, etc).

If he were to come in and due to circumstances, play left back and be a revelation then great as it solves a problem position. However his left back appearances throughout his career are somewhat limited and therefore I think a left back berth would at best be in a backup capacity.

Chilwell even in the summer I think would be incredibly difficult to prise away from Leicester I feel. And to be honest for the numbers being talked about, I'm really unsure he's worth it.

Alex Telles I think is the most interesting option given price, level of experience, stats (particularly offensively), etc. Two things though that do concern me a little regarding him is (1) difficult to assess just how good he is playing in a pretty poor league and (2) given his relatively low release clause, I'm surprised no one else seems to have been in for him. Is that perhaps saying something?

Maatsen is a dwarf and he is soon 18, so odds are not that good that he hits a growth spurt of any import

he is 15cm shorter than I am in my bare feet, well over 20cm shorter if I am in pumps

he is Kante size

imagine Kante having to defend in the air over and over

he looks likes he could be Zouma's son, not our next LB

lolol

Right now I would be happy with Werner and two defensive players better than what we have. I don't look at Werner to challange Tammy, but we cant expect Tammy to play every PL, FA, and CL game. I would like to see the Sancho deal, but Dortmund is expecting stupid money.

Hahaha most delusional fans in the world. I remember reading on RedCafe they should sign Hazard and Kante from us.

Complete guess but come February 1st i would not be surprised if our market ends with Zaha, Werner and a left back, not Chilwell though as dont think Leicester would sell

That's the biggest question our board is facing. Sancho and Chilwell are not available now but they are in the summer. So what do we do? Wait for them and go with what we have or we sign now someone like Zaha and some other left back.

Sign Sancho and loan him back 6 months.
