That's the thing. We can't control everything in a cup game. May need to win via a penalty shootout sometimes. It's Bayern's problem that they fucked up but that and the shootout gave us arguably the best night of our lives as Chelsea fans.

Xhaka and Saka scored world class goals nad around 86% of penaldos go in anyway.
He made a mistake when he passed it to Laca, but at least he saved it. Also made other saves.

I don't think GK is a big problem area for now, but moving forward, would it make sense to invest in a proven GK?

Whether Mendy is truly the real deal for us in the long run remains to be seen but he's not the problem right now. There are problems further ahead of him.
