FYI, I’ve got a big Havertz piece going up on @TheAthleticUK tomorrow #CFC

It's a piece analyzing Havertz's game style and performances, something along those lines. He mentioned it in The Athletic podcast.

This tweet got a big reaction at this start of this week and there is an update (of sorts)... Chelsea insiders have now confirmed they are increasingly confident of finding an agreement with Bayern Leverkusen to sign Kai Havertz. Personal terms will not be an issue #CFC

Everyone is trying to be the ITK. Only Matt Law, The Athletic and German sources should be trusted at this point...

Havertz is lazy off the ball. No manager likes that.

Lazy players do not do this.

Look at him at 00:44 making a great pass on his own half and than quickly moving to the box and scoring.

Think Magic Lamps was talking about his defensive work off the ball, not his movement off the ball.

Kai Havertz agents told to Bayer Leverkusen he wants to leave the club if an “important bid” will arrive on next weeks. Chelsea board have contacted Havertz agents and Kai “would like” Chelsea as next step because of the project - also Werner would push him to join.#CFC

Havertz will consider talks about personal terms (until 2025) if Chelsea will make an official bid to Leverkusen soon. Bayern Münich out of the race for this summer after signing Sané. Bayer asked today again €90M as price tag and have not received any official bid yet#CFC

Get my boy in already!

Also Rudiger should be knighted and legend status if he pulls this off.

Great job by our board.

First doing the harder work by convincing Tomo and Kai and then just drop money on their clubs when they are in checkmate position because players already told them they want to leave.

This two signings are biggest statement we ever had.

They are bigger names than what we bought in early Roman days. And back in the day we attracted players mostly with money now it is different. This is something I would expect Real Madrid being able to do.

Amazing! So excited for the future...

EDIT: *Timo not @Tomo he is here for years :D

So basically, if we demonstrate to him that we really want him by paying up, he's ours. He's absolutely open to joining us. We just have to come to an agreement with Bayer. Which of course is the tricky bit.

Hopefully we act as decisively here as we did with Werner. And hopefully Werner and Rüdi are blowing up his phone convincing him to come here. Maybe even Lamps and Cech, too. 😆

Yes!

he definitely has his liberties at Leverkusen when it comes to defensive contribution and he uses them. Not an avid tracker of opposition fullbacks most definitely

I'm scared someone else is going to enter the sweepstakes at the last moment. Mainly that bald twat Pep and Man City. :middlefinger:

I dont care about defense from this type of player.

That is like saying back in 2004 we should not go for Totti he is lazy and does not track back.

Its fine if he plays striker/false 9. Not if he's coming to play a box to box cm in a 3. Not in the PL. Work rate is one of the easiest things to change though
