Giroud with 29 PL goals. You heard it here first😄

You know what ... It is quite possible. Once the chemistry of the team is set, specially against the lower end teams (no disrespect to them) who would be sitting back will give us scope of hitting quite a few goals :)

That is utter madness. He would cost £80m if he played for a PL club.

If you have the BT app tune into "Ziyech:Wizard of AMS". Gives you a great insight into the man aswell as the player. He goes over his personal feelings when Nouri collapsed (he was right next to him

All those years of seeing Willian hitting the first man at set pieces to seeing Ziyech picking out the target almost with ease. 😭

What is going on with his injury update? does anyone have any information or are we starting the season with mount, RLC and CHO as our wingers?

I was just about to ask the same thing but hey CHO isnt that bad bro.

Matt Law sharing Sam Wallace's report mentions that Ziyech will miss the start of the season.

He did but I don't think the point was about Ziyech's injury.

Regarding Ziyech's injury in the Sam Wallace article, this is the line that was mentioned...

Ziyech was injured in last Saturday’s friendly against Brighton, a blow to his knee that will most likely rules him out the start of the season.

Maybe it's just me but that feels like a throwaway line in regard to the context of the entire article rather than anything specific on Ziyech's injury. Maybe he will miss the start of the season but if there's been news, one would think Goal, Guardian etc would have picked up on it. Let's see if he's in the training pics this coming week or if there's some actual updates. If not, we just gotta wait for Lampard's presser on Friday.

CHO isn't bad to be honest. But I had hoped we wouldn't see mount or RLC on the wings again. That is looking very likely now :(

Surely a week is enough to assess the damage?

The fact that the club hasn't released a statement should indicate that it is no major injury. It is possible though that he will miss the first few games I guess.

The club have never really released statements on a player's injury.

Kai Havertz is in line to make his Chelsea debut away to Brighton and Hove Albion on Monday night, with Christian Pulisic in contention after recovering from a hamstring injury.

There was less positive news regarding Hakim Ziyech, the new signing who injured a knee in the pre-season friendly away to Brighton last Saturday week. He could be absent for a prolonged spell with Frank Lampard saying that he is hopeful it is just a matter of weeks.

Pulisic's availablity is a boost. The American international tore a hamstring in the FA Cup final defeat to Arsenal at the beginning of August and the initial diagnosis suggested that he would miss the opening two games of the 2020/21 campaign.

I'm so pumped for ziyech. I said it before he was the one I think will be the most exciting to watch maybe barring Werners impact on the team. And just thinking about the 2 passes he made in a half of preseason we could have done with that sort of pass vs Brighton.
Half a dozen times Werner made a good run and didn't get the ball.

Me too. I was really happy when we signed him after hearing such good things from someone who watched him regular.I think he will make a big impression for us. Want to see Kai/Wermer and Happys head on the end of those crosses.
