But the real heroes today were Kovacic and Jorginho. Absolute world class performances from both of them. Without them we would have been torn apart but they help us to control the game, especially in the second half where we we dictating the tempo and dominating the game. The team did not play particularly well, were nervous AF but Lamps changes shifted the momentum such that we still come away with the 3 points. Outcoached ten Hag completely. Ajax had 2 chances, one of which was a lucky deflection that was rightly called offside and the post they hit, well, we have to work on this still. But if you hold the 7,8 chances 3 of which 100% ones against that we thoroughly deserved our win. We completely broke Ajax flow and still attacked well, dominated the game. Share Posted October 23, 2019 Massive massive win, great and gritty performance by the lads against a very good Ajax team on their own turf, the subs were spot on in the end, big credit to Lamps. Azpi had a monster game in defense, captain's performance, Kova and Jorginho marshalled that midfield, Pulisic has to start next game, very bright game from him as soon as he came on, gave us spark and creativity, completely changed the outcome of the game in our favor, Bats redeemed himself for that huge miss with the winner.
