Danny Drinkwater

I really do not understand why people can't give the guy a chance here. I mean he is wanted or at least accepted by Conte and who can question Conte at this point? Also, he's homegrown, he proved himself in the Premier League and made a great partnership with Kante.

What's so bad about this signing? The price tag, which is actually absolutely decent on the current market? The fact that he doesn't have a fancy name? Or the fact that his overall in FIFA will be a pain in the ass for all of us?

I reckon he will only be the new Mikel. A very useful squad player, who knows the league and can help when needed.

BREAKING NEWS

Sky sources understand Leicester City midfielder Danny Drinkwater has handed in a transfer request.

He's keen to join Chelsea and wants to force through a move, but so far the Blues are not prepared to meet Leicester's valuation.

We understand a fee of £25m has been discussed.

Leicester do not want to sell Drinkwater, and only an exceptional bid will prise him away.
