Johnnyeye 7,545 Posted August 12, 2017 Share Posted August 12, 2017 Great performance from him, showed a lot of character, fight, desire, intensity, great movement on and off the ball, 1 goal and assist, clearly the game changer for us, could have had 2 goals if not for being off side, just a real shame we lost today but our display in the 1st half is what cost us in the end, credit must be given to Burnley. It was the opportunity for him to do something of individual brilliance and be the shinning light of a shitty situation. Credit to him, he capitalised very well. Us losing when he wasn't on the pitch gave him the clean slate he may not have received if he started. Proper footballer rather than a battering ram. Goal scorer but also a creator. We have to make sure not to get carried away, but damn did he look excellent. May need to watch the replay again but think Christensen's shot was going a tad wide. At least it's good that he attacked the ball though. Too often we have seen players just stand still and not gamble on a shot/pass/cross in situations like that.
