That was wrong. While Antonio can’t just blame the players, the board but also himself, the culture needs to change because the players know that if they don’t like a manager they will outlast him. That’s something engrained in the clubs dna and it needs to stop. I’m fed up of it. Conte and Jose's downfalls had nothing to do with player power. As for AVB, i can't speak for you but im glad the players won that battle. Jase 43,479
Thank you Antonio for the two trophies and a wonderful 2016/17 season and also, good riddance for all the BS moments. Dimitr

Popular Post! the wes 7,212 Posted July 13, 2018 Popular Post! Share Posted July 13, 2018 Conte's Chelsea record Conte's 30 league wins in the 2016-17 campaign was a record until Manchester City produced 32 in 2017-18. He set a club record 13 consecutive league victories. His league win percentage of 67.1% is better than Sir Alex Ferguson's 65.2% and only bettered by Pep Guardiola's 72.8% in the Premier League. He averaged 2.14 points per game in the league. Only Ferguson (2.16) and Guardiola (2.34) have averaged more in the competition's history He won 69 and drew 20 of his 106 games in charge of the club. Laylabelle 9,539
Sad how he went especially as he had a point and not the first to say it... But can't really say those things and not expect backlash. So animated on the touchline so hopefully he still will be wherever he goes Good Times.. Mostly... Still we won the league again..

He could have taken a parting shot, he was sacked after one day of pre-season work, which is quite ridiculous but he didn't. He had a moan and groan last season and I honestly expected something similar in this statement or a double ended sword of some sorts but testament to the guy he didn't and I think the majority of the fans will miss him. Its a pity last season didn't work out because we all know how good the first year was. Best of luck to him as well, guys an outstanding manager and 2 seasons in England he has given a lot not only to the PL but European football as a whole, just look at how many teams have all of a sudden reignited playing 3-4-3 or 3-5-2. Even England? They kept talking about Pep influencing Gareth Southgate, him picking his brain etc but I generally seen more of a Conte influence in that team than a Pep one, a team that would work hard, play to its strengths and as he would usually say "were prepared to suffer" when they had to. That Everton game is probably the best I've seen us play in years and I don't think many will top it, although I have big hopes for Sarri. If anything, he might do it when asked about his sacking/departure back in Italy. Henrique

Its pretty obvious its a pr statement made by pr people. After all Conte right now is a football manager without a job, and its natural that he must leave the impression that he doesn't have bitter feelings towards his former employers. Totally agree doesn't matter what walk of life your from golden rule never slag off your former employers. Must clubs have gagging clauses Chelsea have had them since Bates and when you think of the revolving door of managers we've had I can't recall any of them bad mouthing Chelsea.
