The Mourinho Thread

I chose those two because they are the only ones that aren't regulars anymore. We saw Lampard's behavior under AV.

It's highly unlikely that Lampard will ever go against Mourinho. As I said, the latter will know how to manage and use him (and Essien). He might be at fault for the AVB scenario but AVB didn't exactly help himself with his poor man management. And also, Lampard didn't play as much as he would probably have liked last season but he didn't seem to have any problem with Benitez, did he? Think Lampard has come to a point where he knows he won't be playing week in week out anymore. His contribution will still be important, both on and off the pitch, but certainly won't be playing every game anymore.

And Essien has been calling Jose daddy, I wouldn't enjoy being in a lockerroom where that happens.

As much as it's probably annoying to hear Essien keep on calling Jose 'daddy', it's just a relationship and nothing more. People are just being paranoid and have that nostalgic thinking Mourinho will just come back and revert everything back to the old days under him.

Mourinho said that players like Lampard, and Terry are the soul of the club.

Great point.

But I wonder, with Lampard getting to the end of his career, will he want to keep Lampard as an assistant?

Lampard is one smart guy, and if coach correctly by Mourinho be can become a top coach.

Who knows, he can even take over after Mourinho.

But Lampard always made me think that he can have a life after the game in a managerial role.

Heck Brendan, AVB, and Clark have not done that bad after learning a thing or two from Mourinho.

The people at Samsung, Mourinho and club officials posed (a few times, for PR) with the 2004/05 shirt but with Samsung instead of Fly Emirates.

Yeah but the crest in that photoshopped pic is the old one.

A random question, can Mou speak French? It would be a huge bonus for all our Belgium players I think. At the moment only Ba is native French speaker besides all the Belgiums.

He is really good in french, in fact he spoke in french with Drogba. He told him "toi je te veux dans mon équipe (i want you in my team)" when he played for Marseille. He is really fluent in french.

He is better in french than in english tbh

I don't care about his personality - although I don't mind it as much as other people do. What others call arrogant, I call confident :P

But I'm not here to like his personality, I'm here to like his work and he's one of the best managers in the world. I love his style and he's what we needed. So that's why I'm happy, but I agree, he's not the most likeable guy around. Mou is an acquired taste ;)
