I wouldn't say bad, but I woudln't say excellent.

We made a positive net spend, but we sold a lot of younger players for older players with less resale value. Felipe, Cuadrado, Willian...

While also made some great buys in Matic, Fabregas, Costa.

So it's not an extreme to bad or good. If I had to give a scorecard I would say B+

Good to see there is some sense in this forum.

I don't think his dealings have been awful, but I think his bad (not great) moves outweigh his positive ones in numbers. I think quite a few people like to jump the gun, and forget to think before they post.

I don't do anything of that stuff. Some people have sense.

The same manager that let him go for Willian #2. Not great business.

For anyone else thinking of quoting me, Cesc and Costa were obvious buys. Compare all his transfer activity since he came back, and tell me have more worked out or failed?

This has nothing to do with making profit. That's mainly down to the board.

I dont want to jump into this debate, but you can't simply just ignore Costa and Fábregas saying they were obvious buys just to suit your argument.

I made a post, and you quoted it. This is no debate.

I'm not dismissing any transfers to suit my "argument", but I'm basing my opinion on numbers. Look at my previous post.

So if Mourinhos transfer dealings has been bad in your opinion, just out of curiosity how do you rate Van Gaal's or any other top PL manager's transfer summer?

Whoa...Salah is the only buy that hasn't panned out. Willian maybe, besides that all the transfers have been very good.

Like I said pellegrini did the same exact thing Mourinho is about to do this season while playing good fútbol.

So there's nothing of greatness so far.

Now this season city have not improve and pellegrini is talked about being sack.

It will be the same for mourinho if next season instead of improving we have regress, it will be the same.

Dude, how many times do people counter your same argument. Look at the quality of teams both these managers inherited. We were playing in europa. Getting our asses kickes by benfica and rubin kazan. Jose got a team with no identity and a happhazard grpup of players, either too old or too young compared to pele whose most playees were in the prime.

city have regressed massively while we developed. city should have walked the league last season when you compare their squads with the others. yet they needed a massive massive massive favor from us.

also, please tell me what is this supposed great futbol. pelegrini is probably the only manager who got outclassed by the specialist in failure, they were lucky to win against a 10 man united at home, they got butt fucked by pool.

Mourinho is not the only one who decides which player club should buy and which player club should sell. Sure, he has his say, but there's many other factors. For example, he doesn't wanted to sell De Bruyne, but player asked for permanent transfer, Wolfsburg made good offer and club couldn't refuse that offer.

He probably has the most influence in the transfer decisions tbh

in theory, he bought WC players that should have done better than they have, but it hasn't worked out. At the end of the day, Chelsea's dealings is all I'm worried about.

Well without meaning to sound like AVB I would rather look at the collective, what it's done as a team.

When Jose took over in 2013 our squad was a complete unbalanced mess, every bit as much as Uniteds squad is currently if not more, on a £36m net spend (that's £9m per transfer window for perspective) he has turned this unbalanced mess into genuine title contenders and 2/3 signings away from hitting the top level in Europe.

He's quite clearly doing something right.

Since when has Utd become the judging pole?

lets talk about jose's transfer dealings, should we?

got us a player that we had sold and has made him one of the best DMs currently - matic

next is costa. who was supposedly a straight forward buy. yet a lot of people wanted rooney (PL proven), falcao (available), mandzukic (available at a lower proce), cavani (rumored to be looking to move away) etc etc.. straightforward indeed.

then is cesc. ex-captain of one of our biggest rivals. and by cesc's own admission, jose was one of the main reasons for him to come here.

zouma - one of the best young defenders in the world for one-fourth of the price of the defender he was taking place of.

luiz, mata and lukaku.. all positives...

willian - average buy...

so you are basically ceibbing about salah. fair enough!!! :wank2:
