Jase 43,479
Most of the English media outlets here - BBC, Sky Sports, Guardian - have picked up on what Mourinho, apparently, said to Marca.
Barbara 15,149
Anyone else think those MARCA quotes are way too particular and frank to be from Jose himself? I mean those guys tried everything in their power to make his Madrid stay a living hell and here he goes and grants them an exclusive interview with direct, 'yes' or 'no' type answers about Courtois, Costa, Ramires and Fabregas? I'd be delighted if all that's been reported is genuine but I'm a little skeptical.haven't read your post until now. But that's how I feel too.Strange. It was definitely there this morning...i read the translated WAGNH article that skipper posted and that one has the cesc comments. plus that article gives the precise words"Cesc es un gran jugador que da una nueva dimensión a nuestro equipo. Es diferente a Matic, Ramires y Óscar. Con él tendremos un centro del campo muy completo. Al fichar a Cesc yo pretendía un centrocampista con un perfil determinado y ahora con su llegada ya lo tengo"It's in a new article nowhttp://www.marca.com/2014/06/15/futbol/futbol_internacional/premier_league/1402819315.htmlI'm still a bit weary about it... Just a month ago Jose refused to speak to Spanish journalists alltogether, and it's hard to imagine him concieding exclusive interview to Marca now after the role this same Marca played in his leaving Madrid. Ainsley Harriott 2,732
Shut up. Shut up. Shut up. SHUT UP! He was just saying what every Portugal fan is thinking. Not really tbh. Despite being brazilian Pepe always showed interest in playing for Portugal, is one of our top players and has always given a great effort when wearing our shirt, more than a lot of the portuguese-born players. While it is true that it might give a bad rep to our country, José was out of line here.I'm not defending Pepe, what he did was dumb and cost us any little chance we had at a comeback, but these comments were needless. Just my two cents on this. Sir Mikel OBE and Henrique
nono 791
Pepe and Mourinho have a history. There is no love lost. I personally thought the comments were very mean and hurtful.
iseah100 5,612
Pepe is a grown man, he can take it. Pepe is stupid for doing that, maybe Mou went a bit far, but "classless"? Really? That word gets thrown around too much. Pepe and Mou don't like each other, and he (Pepe) made a stupid mistake when they were still in the game. kellzfresh

Rom2013 446
Pepe betrayed Mourinho in Real Madrid, don't expect any respect from Mourinho, and Pepe don't deserve any respect. As a person Pepe is a fucking disgrace. And I'm not speaking about the Casquero situation that was horrible (the only one Pepe had in football because all the other things are absolutelly normal). I'm talking about the 3 years of Mourinho in Madrid in which Mourinho was the only person defending Pepe from the papers in Madrid, the fans and Barcelona.Pepe is right now in Madrid because of Mourinho and in the last month to garantee his spot at the club he said Mourinho was wrong and Casillas shoudn't be treated like that. About the words of Mourinho, he said the truth... Pepe is not portuguese in the sentimental sense of the word, and he should behave properly. That was not a red card, as Mourinho also said, but was really stupid what he did.And Mourinho is portuguese, he will coach the national team (Madrid didn't let him coach the NT some years ago), he can say what he wants about the team and he already said that he doens't like that much "non portuguese" players in the national team. I agree with him. Muzchap and Bosnian Blue

I agree with him.Mourinho usually coach teams with big football stars that can challenge for big trophies. I really can't see Mourinho managing Portugual, unless his reputation decreases to the point there is no big club willing to give him a job.Its easier to see Jose managing England than Portugal. We are all now witnessing the lambasting Costa is getting for playing for Spain by the same token Pepe has made himself a target for Portuguese people.Pepe is a cunt anyway I don't know how or why anyone would want to defend him. Mourinho wanted to coach Portugal 4 years ago in 2 games but Florentino Perez didn't let him (it was something for 1 or 2 weeks but I think Mourinho would also want to go with the team for the major event after that 2 games, and that was the fist controversy of Mourinho in Madrid). Of course right now Mourinho wouldn't coach only Portugal. Mourinho said already he will coach Portugal in the end of his carrer, and he didn't coach ENgland already because he doesn't like that much the idea of coaching a NT that is not his NT. But Mourinho is so attached to England that one day it can happen, we can have Mourinho as England national coach in the future.
