the Cole situation is an enigma to me.

Similar to Schurrle situation for good patches during the year.

For some reason, I think Cole's situation has a lot more to do outside of football.

I mean we have 2 fullbacks and a cb playing rb, however, somehow we don't rotate Cole in and we loaned out Bertrand.

Now that he's back from injury, Jose should seriously consider starting him on tuesday. I love Azpi but we're gonna need more options going forward and possibly more experience.

After Cole came on earlier, not sure where was he playing really. Was like just rotating positions with others since we suddenly saw Azpi and Ivanovic popped up so far in the final third and a bit out of nowhere.

Seemed to play left wing back in a 5 man defense with Matic and Luiz sitting in front of the defense allowing Cole and Ivanovic to push up really high with Hazard and Salah both roaming around.

Because he didnt play bad this season, at least as good as Iva and Mou had no real reason to bench him. Azpi and Cole would fit much better against small teams, but again if he was injured he obviously couldnt play...

Imo Cole is good enough to be backup at least next season, pairing with younger LB (Shaw?) and teaching him few things. But if he isnt in Mou plans, than no point in having him here...

I have feeling if he moves to Rm, he will for some reason become first choice, at least in big games. Thats exactly why we might just keep him for another season. Mou made Cole look like a LB who is not able to play 45min anymore, but I feel he could be useful in big games, even next year. Just remember Lpool game this season, Cole still has ability IMO.

Azpi should completely focus on RB next season and Cole would be superb backup to the new LB.

Azpi actually went over to the right wing at one point...it probably confused Charile Adam & co..(when they really didn't need much to do so)
