Chelsea Legend 11 4,062
They wanted it more. The question is why?
LAM09 7,056
We still need Cuadrado though. The defense will sort itself out. It's the lack of quality in attack without certain players or when those certain players are not at their best that worries me more. I doubt it will. We can't hold onto leads, and it has cost us in many games this season. If I had the choice of getting a WC CB or decent RWF this month, I'd want the former. Ledg 643
The first video was missing Cahill's goal. And the second was for UK users only. I decided to downloaded it and upload it:http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x2fh7ne_fa-cup-chelsea-2-4-bradford-highlights_sportHere you go.
LDN Blue 7,903
This result feels as bad as when we lost to Middlesboro 3-0 2006. One of the worst performances I'd seen from a Mourinho's Chelsea.

Chelsea Legend 11 4,062
Losing 5-3 to Spurs and 4-2 to Bradford in a month. The annual December slump came 4 weeks late...Thats a lot of goals.

The Chels 2,502
I agree Middlesbrough are a pretty decent side but City were dire in attack. I don't know how you can say they had a lot of clear-cut chances. They had 1 or 2 clear chances - the Lampard shot that hit the post and the Boyata fluffed shot inside the area. If anything City were very lucky to lose by 2 goals. Dire in attack? They completely dominated and a goal looked inevitable, especially in the first half where Middlesbrough were having to scramble the ball clear on a lot of occassions. Still City should be grateful to us for deflecting the attention away from their result.
Kendrick 339
There goes rotation. Besides our starting XI (and Cech), all the others are useless.Bamford could easily been our second striker this season.
LDN Blue 7,903
I see where you're coming from. If you look at our youth setup, I don't see a single player that can emulate the mentality that Terry, Lampard and Cole (and maybe even Ivanovic) have envisaged in recent years. I suppose you can throw into the mix, our lack of English players we have too. The core of every club, is to have a local sentimental figure that can spur up a dressing room. These being your Gerrards, your Terrys, your Rooneys. We've had players like McEachran and Cork come and go.. right now, we have people like Loftus-Cheek who seem to show a few promises, but in no way are they born-leaders. I certainly don't want to see us go down the route of Arsenal, who have failed to recognise any kind of leader in their side (when they weren't winning trophies). It's very difficult to predict such traits though. Remember when Ivanovic first came to the limelight? He was just filling in because of suspensions/injuries and managed to score two-headers past Liverpool in the Champions League. He was quite unknown and we weren't really sure as to his qualities. Eventually he started coming across as a vocal guy.The same can be done for any number of players who just need to find their confidence in this team. I look to the likes of Matic, Hazard & Azpilicueta to find their voices and their leadership qualities to grab games by the scruff of the neck. But to also spur the other players on and, if need be, whip them into shape. Like you see Rooney do sometimes.
mannyfreshh 164
Bradford deserved this. If only our players had the Hearts of the opposition
Ollie 4,400
I'm not angry about being knocked out of the FA Cup. I'm angry that we have a fantastic youth team that has dominated for nearly a fucking decade and it's being overlooked for shit like Mikel, Salah and a hell of a lot of players that are getting paid way too much who do not understand the FA Cup and English football on a cold awkward night. We struggles enough against Shrewsbury. We have a great first team that cannot play 70 games a season. The fringe / squad players are not good enough. Who can come off the bench and change a game? Schurrle can to some degree but who else? We were shit against Bolton, the first half against Watford was shameful, Shrewsbury was poor and now been battered by Bradford? How much is this squad worth? It's disgusting! I love the FA Cup and i'm so glad for the Bradford fans and their manager and owner but this shouldn't happen to us at home. I'm embarrassed. Beepu 1,714
Saw the highlights. To those that saw the game, was the defending in the whole game as bad as in the snipets of highlights? Those finishes by Bradford were great though, still a proper football team should not let any opposing players get into those positions.Sounds like a waste of time, glad I didn't wake up at 4 am in the morning for this. What a waste. But we are not alone. City, Spurs, Swansea also out.
mufilika 101
anyone watching Pasalic's Elche against Barca for the 3rd time this month? What about them, Elche is one of the worst teams I've ever seen.
CurlyHairLikeLuiz 1,625
Bamford should most definitely stay for next season. Can see Remy going as well as Drogba, tbh.And now we're out at least we have a week before PSG now.
BlueLion. 21,491
I didn't watch the game, nor did I listen to any commentary. I went to watch Derby-Chesterfield with my mate and thoroughly enjoyed my afternoon. When I heard the half-time score of 2-1 I was pleasantly surprised as our first half performances in cup games are usually staid and uninspiring. When I saw the 4-2 final score, I could barely believe my eyes. Then I saw City, Southampton and Spurs are all out. Add United's draw with Cambridge last night and you can see this competition still has a bit of the old spark left. Whoever said the FA Cup is dead? However, this is the calmest, most ambivalent I have ever been about a Chelsea defeat. I wouldn't go as far as saying I don't care, but when I say I was more upset at the fact we "only" won 5-0 at Swansea than I am about this result, I'm not lying. In fact I'm almost relieved. With City losing, us going to a replay and then potentially staying in the FA Cup could have been disastrous, especially with a potential League Cup final on the horizon. City will punish every misstep we take in the Premier League and stretching our clearly thinner-than-first-thought squad across four competitions throughout the season would only lead to disappointment, the same way it did in 2007/08.However some of the reactions on here are hilarious. Yes, José rotated too many players and we were incredibly poor after half-time. But this is the FA Cup. Bradford were absolutely magnificent and I just have to say we were simply beaten by the better team on the day. I'll support them for the remainder of the competition. Let me make this abundantly clear: I'd be happy for Liverpool to stuff us on Tuesday and PSG to do us 6-0 on aggregate if it means we win the Premier League. Four years is too long for a club of our size not to win a league title. In the grand scheme of things, the domestic cups mean nothing.

I suppose you can tell "such traits" if.. he was, as you say, "filling in because of injuries". It's those sorts that want to prove a point... that they deserve to play more, and not just someone doing the latter, so they try and make their voice heard. Players like Mikel, Azpilicueta, and others should be doing that, because they need to prove that point to Mourinho. Instead, they show no promise, particularly in games we can (and should) win. quickpassnmove 924
Can't remember did we buy him?Yes, Pasalic is a Chelsea player. Elche are just one of the worst La Liga sides. To be fair, Barca are now up due to an unusual strike from Pique off a free kick and a crap PK call on a counterattack. Neymar ran into the defender rather than the defender sticking his leg out at the last moment.
