Arse or City. Don't know if I can see Arse spending huge money for someone who isn't even a clear upgrade on what they have. City will overpay for him out of desperation and he can take Nasri's spot.

Doubt we'd be interested at the prices being mentioned.

Same. He wont be going anywhere wihtout a transfer request though i'd guess. Rodgers has said he isnt for sale, and previously said when players and reps want to move clubs, youre powerless to stop it. He now needs to make this all about Sterling giving him "no chance but to sell." Suarez and Torres style

I don't want to exaggerate but I truly believe signing him would be one of our biggest mistakes in the last decade. First of all, he is nowhere near Willian. Secondly, I don't think Liverpool will sell him for less than 30 million which would be the biggest waste of money.

We need to sign top players like Griezmann, who will push us to the Champions League trophy. I don't think Sterling will ever be at that level.

When did Jose say that?

He said he would sell any player that doesn't want to work with him and stay at the club so he basically used Sterling as an example, not specifically saying he would sell him because he wouldn't want him here.

I would pick him up. Reus and Griezmann are better options but I don't think either of them are coming to the club.

To the people pointing at his scratchy finishing - I think it's something that will develop. By the time he's 24-25 he'll be a big talent - something like Daniel Sturridge is now.

People forget he is still 20 and with lots of time to develop. For the right price he can be a magnificent acquisition. Inconsistency is his problem, but when Suarez and Sturridge were there he was doing wonders, despite his finishing not being perfect. For the right price (30 mil, imo), he can be a great signing. One who'd probably stay with us for a long time, if things turn out okay for him, in terms of playing time, silverware and development. I wouldn't say no to him, he has Bags of potential and he has shown it numerous times. I don't think his attitude is that much of a problem. He is frustrated at not being allowed to leave so he's hit out at the media, KdB did that, nobody is slating him now at Wolfsburg, right? Football is no longer the 2 club max sport. Sterling is thinking about his career, which, with the right management could be amazing. I'm sorry, but some of the criticism is over the top. I may have gotten a little overboard with compliments, but fact is Sterling would do great here and he can play equally good at all 3 positions. I'm for it.
