Share Posted February 13, 2016 One of the best passers I've ever seen play the game. must be a thorn to play against because he can hit a long ball and kill the game at any time. yes he can struggle when tightly market, but the thing is he causes the opponent to focus on him. There's always been a Chelsea player where when he gets the ball and looks up I think 'shit we could score here, or at least have a great chance'. Zola was like it for me (my favourite player), Mata the same, now with Fabregas, that's the highest praise I can give him for how he's been playing. Bravo son, keep it up! One free kick absolves him of everything else? He was pathetic today. In the first minutes itself, Zlatan went past him like he was not even there, similar to what Silva had done to him against City when we were outclassed at the start of the season. I would rather have a decent CM who can build up play rather than simply put in Quarter Back like passes against oppositions who would give him more space and time than he could imagine. Also, over-reaction is when people say Cesc is World class for his Newcastle performance. It is not an over-reaction to say that we need a Starter CM for next season because Cesc simply does not cut it against quality opposition and by quality opposition I mean teams like Soton too which can press him and have a field day.
