If this how it was for Arsenal and Pochettino is saying the same thing about Tottenham then we have to face it guys that it's happening to us as well.

We have been cutting back and it's mainly because of the new stadium.

In that case sacking Mourinho was the perfect thing to do because apparently that guy can't win if we don't spend.

So if this being the case we definitely need managers like Pochettino and Wenger that are good at penny pinching and bringing youth. Because that will be us for the following years till the new stadium is up and running.

Don't know if people here heard of the website Football Leaks which regularly leaks contracts of footballers.

And I couldn't help but notice that David Barnard is the one who signs in every contract, surely is part of "the board" that have a say in transfers and that we have been criticizing for months now ? Or is he just signing his name on contracts ?

Problem is we're operating in the transfer market like we're still in 2012, for whatever reason.
Kanté just happened to fall nicely on our laps, deals like that will happen rarely.

They've done well, considering no champions League football, kante and batman are excellent buys. Especially as they got a quick left-footed leftback and a quick ballplaying centerback over the line and made efforts to address our biggest weakness last season. 

Good job. Now time to challenge for the title till the last day.

Disagree, a lot. Aside from Kante I don't really see these excellent buys, considering without Champions League football Man Utd recruited Pogba, Zlatan, Bailly and Mkhitaryan. Think we left it far too late to address our LB & CB crisis, though they could turn to be excellent signings let's not be under any illusion they were plan z. Left it to the final 3 weeks of an already busy transfer window chasing the likes of Koulibaly, Romagnoli only to go back to PSG for Luiz. Not knocking Luiz, but it's more than evident he was a last resort lmao. 

They salvaged deadline day by going for targets that weren't going to be a massive loss for the club in Alonso and Luiz, though I'll give them credit for capturing both at a fee below £40m which seems to be the average.

IMO, they should've had this wrapped up weeks ago rather than 2 games into the season with little-to-no time to adapt.

Kante is the best anchor in the world - 32m (Xhaka went for 35m)

Michy Batshuyai - 33m (looking like a classy player)

David Luiz is a ball playing CB not many in the game better than him in this regard - 30m

Marcos Alonso is a LB capable of playing in a back 3 and also on the wing he's left footed and can cross - 23m

Few can argue that we haven't come out of this window like bandits! We've made significant improvements to an already good squad.
