Freund still has to agree his exit from Salzburg as mentioned by Romano.  Just because he agreed terms with Chelsea doesn't mean that this current club will grant his release from contract.

Wonder if we go for someone else, Campos would have been nice but I don't see him leaving PSG anytime soon.

Freund is the key to their philosophy and structure, I doubt they will let him leave. He is worth more to them than Haaland and Mane combined.

But with the work Freund and others have done for them over the past decade or so they also have a clear structure in place so they should also be able to replace him a bit easier and continue with the same principles, no? It's possible they even have someone within the club who could be promoted to take on the role, someone who already knows the club culture for a seamless transition.

It seems any move for Freund is a lot further away as the reports from a few days ago made it seem but then again they were never going to just roll over and hand him to us without putting up a fight. If the man really wants to go and Boehly is willing to pay to get him, a deal is still definitely possible. Players and managers get poached by bigger clubs all the time and usually it's just a case of agreeing the payment terms so why would it be any different for a director? But if the man himself is open to staying and not pushing hard for a move, he'll probably end up staying. In that case be interesting to see who the alternative is for Boehly.

Clearlake had a target of $1.5b but hit $2.5b on this fund.

Full article. Evidently raising funds is not a challenge for these guys.

Great appointment Todd.

After reading about this. This occurred while he was at City. How could Todd have known about it? It seems he sacked him immediately. Is that not what you would want? Under our previous administration the head of media harassed an employee to the point he committed suicide and nothing was done about it, until Boehly fired him and the people that were involved. I know you have a Todd boner, just don’t really understand why?

Some Chelsea fans used to complain when they never heard what was happening behind the scenes, now they complain because they do hear what goes on.

Agreed it's easy to say this should have come up in any due diligence but it doesn't always work like that. We've seen in recent times a lot of cases involving sexual harassment, assault, etc don't come out until a good time later.

Boehly has clearly acted swiftly and correctly on the situation regardless how much embarrassment it may look to be getting rid of someone within a few weeks. There has been talk that they want to build a new culture within the club and this does show a transparency and willingness from the new ownership that they won't tolerate such behaviour, even if it didn't even occur during their employment at the club.

You have to tip your hat to them in this situation that they've done the right thing.

I'm surprised this doesn't spotlight City more as this took place under their watch.
