Norwich actually played ok in their last game but it's a tough ask to beat a team with this type of momentum and belief. They've come into form at exactly the right time, whereas we're having to focus on Champions League football as well whilst losing our best player to injury.

If we're not in the CL then Hazard probably doesn't get injured and we don't rest players like Luiz for the game against Atletico. When we've already got a thin squad, these things matter but in a manager's first season in charge that's the way things tend to go.

Look at Liverpool' desire, tempo and willingness to end this game early. Yesterday our boys thought it would be easy and all they had to do was turn up... our tempo was far too lethargic, no urgency at all. The funny thing is we started to up it when we went behind... the last two months in the league has been disappointing to say the least. There's a hunger for victory and a desire to win that a lot of Chelsea's players simply lack. That coupled with a lack of balls and you got a bad combination, when playing against teams clearly inferior on the playing quality to you, who are fine with just standing back and countering.

Let's not forget that Rodgers is in his second season. He's had time to mould this squad in a way that Jose simply hasn't yet.
