Nah, I understand Mourinho's decision in bringing on Eto'o.

Were people even watching? I know Schurrle was outstanding with his goal but you could see he was tiring in his general play when Mourinho took him off. He's not fully match fit atm and he ran his socks off so the sub was understandable.

Eto'o shouldn't have lost the ball though I agree with that.

was livid when eto'o came on but looking back, think jose was short of options on the bench.

edit: looks like an injury on schurrle as well

Tragic. Tragically comedy and appalling at the same time. Should have been out of sight in the first half after we completely dominated the first half, created all the chances but we decided to mess things in the final third with the lack of incisiveness and decisiveness. At times, it looks as if we were completely overpassing it and all the players did not want to shoot when they can and wanted to be the goal provider instead. And then, in true typical Chelsea fashion, we went and pressed the self destruct button. Stoke, LITERALLY, did not even threaten us one bit until Cech decided to be a santa claus and hand them a goal and guess we were then still showcasing the continuation on how not to defend properly from set pieces following the defensive debacle on Wednesday. To concede 6 goals in 4 days; 3 each against team struggling at the bottom is just abysmal especially when 4 of them shouldn't even be happening! It would be an understatement to say we are unpredictable and inconsistent right now. We are Jekyll and Hyde!

How many goals do we have to score to win a game?

Let's only talk about our strikers and lukaku when we stop conceding so much.

Sort out the middle and defense.

My exact point. Thank you.

6 goals from Stoke and Sunderland is just not acceptable.

Totally agreed. People are being premature if they're saying we're out of the title race, as some of the Twitter-trolls seem to think. We definitely need to reinforce the team defensively in January, though.

yes although its worrying to see our club play like we are in a FIFA 14 match. hopefully things will get sorted out soon, also I'd first see how our young defender Kalas first before deciding for external recruitments in January.

Jose is SPOT ON. We should've had the game won in that first half. Should've scored 3 when we were completely dominant but we shoot ourselves in the foot and allow teams to hang around and grow in confidence.

We're such a night and day team. We can have games where we're super clinical and then have matches like today where we miss 5 or 6 good chances.

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho, speaking to Sky Sports: "I don't feel comfortable enough to tell you what I think about the game. We're in trouble."

Last bit is interesting..

Still, today was disgusting. Can't wait til January so we can throw hundreds of millions of pounds at the problem.

What the fuck was that.. Very strange game. I have to put some blame on Big Pete for this result, I can't help but to think we would have won easily if he didn't make that mistake. Up until then Stoke were nowhere near shooting, let alone scoring. We were in complete control, especially defensively and in set-pieces. After that, everything just went horribly wrong.
