Whether or not he's a CM is obscurely up for debate. All his attributes indicate that he is more of a central midfielder than an attacking midfielder.

And as for top-flight football...

2013/14: 58 games

2012/13: 48 games

2011/12: 40 games

2010/11: 19 games

2009/19: 4 games (Fair enough if you leave this one out.)

...compared to Pogba's 2 seasons.

Dude you're living in a dream world if you think Mourinho is gonna pay 50m to Atletico for Koke to play him out of position.

Chelsea play 4-2-3-1 not 4-4-2 or 4-3-3(on occasion sure) We have Oscar, Hazard, Schurrle, Moses, Salah, Willian and Marin under contract mainly because we play 4-2-3-1 we aren't going to abandon that philosophy to accommodate Koke... He hasn't played in the pivot and likely can't, I don't care how many more years he's had at the top flight, Pogba is BY FAR a much better fit to the way WE want to play and the positional need WE have.

I don't get why people here want to spend loads of cash on one player to play him out of position or worse to change the philosophy of the team!

IT'S NOT GOING TO HAPPEN PEOPLE, TOO MUCH INVESTMENT HAS GONE INTO MAKING THIS TEAM WHAT IT IS NOW.

Can we start working within the framework of the club at present and stop making these ridiculous claims that don't work with the personnel we've accumulated? If you want to have a no.10 play in the pivot what you're saying is you want Chelsea FC to fire Jose Mourinho.

sell Oscar for a hilarious amount of money to PSG and then sign up Pogba and then we are entering an era when we will dominate.

Until he has one bad season where we'll beg PSG to sign him and we'll take the next flavour of the month :yay:

But he is? :carlo:

Not yet IMO. Koke's passing and vision are miles ahead of Pobga's; he's more consistent; and his control of the game is superior to Pogba's atm; I like Pogba as a long-term player, he reminds me of Essien, but of the two I think Koke is the player that can come to a new club now and make his team mates better already.

Again that is largely dependent on what role you envision for the player. I think Pogba would be way more influential in the Pivot than Koke would which is why I would sooner pay 50m for him than Koke. Koke is further along in his development but his skill set does not lend itself to box to box role.

Koke's game is similar to Lavezzi's of you ask me and Pogba is similar to Yaya

Loving the unappreciative of Koke in here, yes he isn't worth 48m in the same way Pogba isn't worth anything over 35-40m, Shaw 20m...etc. But teams will still have to pay these prices. You know why? Because they don't want to leave at any mean and their clubs don't want to sell as well, well not for acceptable prices. If you don't take inflation into account, Koke is worth 25-30m min in today's market anyway. He is better now than Mata was when he joined us in 2011.

So people not wanting him here because the price is one thing but underrating him is unacceptable. You guys need to understand that just because he doesn't bang them in from 30 yards like Pogba doesn't mean he is shit or average. His crosses are possibly one of the best in Europe atm and we witnessed some of it 1st hand when he hit the bar early on against us, he has been doing that regularly for Atletico-but most of you don't watch Liga so you wouldn't know. Koke is better than Willian, Oscar, Salah and Schurrle atm. I would say he is even on par with Mata/Cazorla based on this season's form.

What are you talking about??

Its about FIT! Where would you play Koke? I know exactly where Pogba fits on our current squad.

I know, I am not saying we should sign him as he is not really a CM that we need, I am just talking about people who are seriously underrating him as player. Btw if he could be a good replacement for Oscar if we sell him to PSG but that is not going to happen.

Obviously for our team Pogba would be a better fit.

Chelsea have a new philosophy every 3 years. The initial investment was to play passing football, that's changed with Jose.

I'm not sure of Jose's tactics regarding 433 but that seems to actually fit us better. Oscar is not a #10, we don't have a pogba/toure type player either. A 433 with Matic, oscar and koke looks pretty good to me.

Saying all this, I'd stick to the 4231 and sign Pogba for 60+mil. I actually want him more than Costa.

Lol I remember when everyone said he was a flanks player. Simeone plays his playmakers on the wings, Koke would be brilliant for us in the pivot, great vision and technique and in general a very very good rounded player.
