He was head and shoulders above what we have in the Basel game.But he did not do excellent to an extent where you would say he is a nailed on starter for the next game. Yeah okay, they might not start but why leave two of your best players out of the squad completely? Looks like we've set up as a counter attacking team. The backbone of the squad has always been important for Jose.- Not Starting Mata shows that Jose doesnt care about what status you have. If Jose doesnt think you are good enough or doesnt fit his style of play you just doesnt play.- Not starting someone like De Bruyne in the piviot shows that he wants to create a stable side, which we desperatly need.Nopes ... The squad selected clearly determines that the best manager is doing basic mistake and maybe his ego is clouding everything.I know ppl will say rotation but this is Eto's 3rd game already time for change?Mata doesnt deserve to be out of the squad ...When u didnt want De Bruyne,why keep him in the squad better off to loan him ...Giving Hazard start today is not the right move, that boy clearly is out of ideas right now .. give him a break we have players who can come in... Jose is the best manager in the world because he does what he believes is right and he doesnt care who you are in the club. His focus is on the club and its best, not to satisfy players or care about what "status" they have. FACT is, Mata hasnt been good and Oscar has proved he can fight for that place. We can counter anyone to death with that one but it is almost identical to the one that could not break open Everton.
