Chelsea vs Hull City

^ 5-0? Not a chance. Hull have absolutely nothing to lose and yet have the chance of causing a major upset. They will go hammer and tongs at this game to prove themselves.

Games on the opening day against newly-promoted sides have never been easy. Ever.

West Brom at home 2010 :P

Usually i would agree with what you said, but this Hull side are absolutely awful, their goal difference in the championship was single figure's, i still don't know how they got up. These could (quite easily) be another Derby 2008.

Ivanovic--------Luiz------------Terry--------Bertrand

------------------Ramires-------Lampard--------------

De Bruyne--------------Oscar-----------------Hazard

----------------------------Ba-----------------------------

Subs: Schwarzer, Cahill, Cole, MVG/Mikel, Schurrle, Mata, Lukaku.

Found it hard picking out of these, which suggest's already what a strong squad we have compared to last time. The reason for my Lampard selection is Hull are likely to park the jumbo jet infront of their goal, these are the type of games even now that Lampard's running into the box can come in handy. If we get in a comfortable lead take Luiz off for Villa and United, rest Cole for the same reason and if for whatever reason things are not going our way, Lukaku off the bench.

Torres in the stands, and hopefully that's where he will remain for the season.

I take it Azpi can't play then?

Cech

Ivanovic-Luiz-Terry-Cole

Ramires-MVG

De Bruyne-Mata-Schurrle

Ba

I really like De Bruyne out right wing, as I think he does a very good job there, he connected there really well during pre season. I would like to give him another go at it, and if it doesn't work out then shot Moses on. I would start Schurrle first, then put Hazard on. And I would sub Lukaku on later in the game, let Ba do the damage and give the Hull defence problems, De Bruyne and Mata have a great cross on them, fly them into Ba and he will surely score his first goal of the season.

- Start of the season

- Mou returns

- My first game at SB

Life is good

Geoff Hurst was the manager in my first game ,we were playing in the second division(now called the championship) and Stamford Bridge had been sold to properly developers. We did beat Newcastle about 6-1 tho. I was 5 and only allowed in the East stand at home games and family stands at away games until I was 10 and could throw a good left hook. :D

Hope you enjoy the experience, the bridge is too small for a club of our size now but it's still a beautiful and special home.

If we get no other forward in Ba should be number 1 with Lukaku as competition.

Even if Ba doesn't score he can hold up play and bring other's in to it, and his movement is pretty good too, defenders cannot just ignore him and focus on the amigo's like they do with Torres.

Amazing how the general consensus about Moses has went from "shit player who we should sell to Everton for 7m" to "he should be a starter ahead of KDB" in under a month!

It seems our opinions can only be on the extremes..

most see Moses as squad player. Kdb is unproven.

Rami Van G

KDB Oscar Hazard

Lukaku

I'd say there is a chance of Luiz and Mata starting in place of Cahill and Oscar, but I have a feeling neither of them got enough preseason minutes under Jose. Mata probably comes off the bench at some point though.

To me it looks like Jose really likes Oscar and KDB. Also, I don't see how he could start anyone but Lukaku at center forward. It was pretty obvious in preseason that Lukaku can find the back of the net as well as help his teammates score.

I follow a good bit of the Championship, and they're a poor side. They went 1-0 up last season and sat back with 11 men behind the ball, not the prettiest.

Also, Bayern won 2-1 didn't they?

Yeah but if they nick an early goal - we could be in trouble...

If we score first - we will win - I'm confident of that...

There's no easy games - look at Brentford last year and Swansea twice :)

I'm just responding to the 5-0 to us comments - not gonna happen :) although I was there at the 8-0 villa game ;)

Would like to think that we will rotate the squad a bit with Villa on Wednesday, especially considering the players wont be at full fitness. Would probably be best to rest or bench players who have long international trips to make midweek as well

Cech

Ivanovic Cahill Terry Cole

van Ginkel Mikel

Moses Oscar Hazard

Lukaku

For American viewers, what channels are the games gonna be on this year? I heard we can watch every game, every week this year!

The games will be on NBC and some of its subsidiaries, mainly NBC Sports. We won't be able to get every game, but most of them.

Here's a rough schedule:

How Clattenburg and Friend are still referee's in the biggest football league on earth is beyond me
