LDN Blue 7,903
The one player I am gutted we never tried to sign is Cazorla. Not to say he would of definitely join us, but he would have easily fit into our system and would flourish in a team with Mata and co. What also bugs me is the price that Arsenal got him for around £12-16m and he has been a joy to watch in the PL and it is not like it was a surprise, everyone knew he was a quality player. Annoying that we pay hefty fees like £50m for Torres who we got for treble what Arsenal got for Cazorla which is crazy and I would have liked to see us make a bid for him especially as we could of offer hima better salary and he is one of them rare players who can use his left equally as good as his right.Just imagine Cazorla, Mata and Hazard in a team. Devastating! Carzola & Mata wouldn't work. They'd be trying to occupy the same role, a problem we were having earlier with Oscar, Mata & Hazard (proved by Rafa's reluctance to play all 3 at the same time). In my eyes we got a much more effective player in Mata - not that I deny Santi's abilities.

Hutcho 8,443
Ba.... But earlier than we did so Rdm would have had him available. Would have been great to see with the way we were playing under him to have a great striker on top of that.

No.David Silva is one of the most overrated & overhyped players in the history of premier league football.

CHOULO19 24,332
Remember when Carlo wanted to sign Pirlo in 2010, and we all thought he had lost the plot..As amazing as pirlo is, he wouldn't be half the player he is in the PL. He thrives on the time he gets on the ball in deep positions, which for some unknown reason, teams in Italy keep giving him. Having said all that, I would still take him at Chelsea in a heart beat. BlueLyon 9,359
RVP! He would suit our style perfectly and is also very all round striker. He is not the youngest but we could sign him two years ago when he was 27...

Would've been a few years after he retired. That reminded me that George Weah played for us for a while - might start a new thread with 'players you're surprised you forgot played for us'.Have to throw Paul Parker in there too. That was a random one.

I think you're being a little unfair on Pirlo. Pirlo is great at finding spaces, its one of the main parts of his game.Imagine him right now in this team though? Would solve all of our DLP problems. He still is probably the best in his role atm, apart from someone like Xavi probably.
