Fuck that guy. They're trying to ruin Dortmund, their only legitimate threat. Bundesliga is a joke.

On a Bayern perspective I can understand it. They want the best German talent available and why would they want to see him go to another club? But yeah if Reus does end up there which I think he will do the league is just totally one-sided. Well it is already but that bridges the gap even more. That being said I can like I was saying, understand why Bayern want Reus.

Reus won't go to Bayern. He has too much respect for Borussia fans.

:D :D Like Götze and Lewandowski? Or Santana who was popular among the fans and went to their enemies schalke?

I will save your comment though for later :D

Bayern didn't want him and everyone in Germany knew Chelsea had been battling for him.

It is funny as a german to see how everything is already done and dusted but people from other parts of the world still try ro tell you it is not impossible lol. Some people here seriously need a reality check.

i'm pretty sure everyone here knows Bayern is his probable destination. But its not a foregone conclusion yet, there's still hope for other teams.

Maybe we should read Cesc comments about never joining Chelsea....

Lampard "hard too much respect for us", "Fabregas had too much respect for Arsenal", "Pirlo had too much respect for Milan" and so on. come on this is football. surely you are not that naive?

Reus has other options at other top clubs all over the world. He could walk onto literally any club in the world.

Also, for every Pirlo and Cesc, there's a Totti, Xavi, Gerrard, Maldini, etc.

Totti - yes he is very loyal but he has always been the god of Rome and very connected to Rome.

Maldini - also very loyal but he didn't desperately need to change the club to win titles because the Milan side was just world class

Gerrard - he was tempted to Chelsea (he said himself) and almost went to Chelsea but he and his family got death threats changing his mind

Xavi - he has been in a world class team regularly winning titles and was part of one of the best teams in the world.

Looking forward to iseah's reaction when reus goes to Bayern :D At first, I thought you were just hoping but actually you are pretty serious and really that naive!

But being German and playing for Bayern is a huge honour. Lew had so many options but insisted on joining Bayern and even though he is not German, he played in Germany long enough to know how big of a honour it is to play for them. Rather than go for a new challenge abroad he joined his closest rivals. Reus will have plenty of options but at Bayern he probably will aready feel at home and have chemistry with the rest of the team. I really think it is inevitable he goes Bayern.

And not every club in the world offers the opportunity to stay in Germany with his family and friends while enjoying the benefits (trophies, attractive wages, bigger legacy) that other top clubs like Madrid, barca et al would offer.

And for every Totti,Gerrard, maldini, there are Denis law, Ashley cole, Gotze, Sol Campbell, RVP, Schmeichel and to a lesser extent the likes of Figo, Laudrup, Bernd Shuster, Kenny miller et al.

The tottis and maldinis are the exception to the rule. Loyalty in football is as close to a myth as you will ever get.

Tell Reus I said hi, I love him, since you talk to him regularly.

Tell that to Kroos, Khedira, and Ozil. Maybe he wants a new challenge, maybe he wants to go abroad? Not every player wants to stay home. He seems to genuinely love BVB he's a home town boy.

Chelsea, Man u, City, Barca, Real, can all offer top wages and chance for titles. Reus has won titles with BVB, I think he'd fancy a move abroad than alienate Borussia.

Not all players are unloyal. Reus won't go to Bayern.

Robert

Reus-Muller-Robben

With gotze as primary backup....

Shaqiri imo is all but gone and Muller/Reus could always slide in the CF role in specific situations...

People said the exact same thing when Gotze/thiago went to bayern, but eventually things work out for themselves.

That's what I said, no Gotze. Gotze is far too talented to be a back-up. So if Reus does join, interest should be high for Gotze. And I would love to see him become a Blue.

Kroos: left Bayern because they couldn't agree on a new contract because of financial reasons and Bayern didn't consider him that crucial. Only then when he knew that there was little Chance for a new agreement, he started talks with Real

Khedira: Bayern didn't want him actually when he was playing for Stuttgart.

Özil: When was Bayern in Transfer talks with Özil?

@iseah: You know little about German football, pretty sad.

At the time Bayern did not go after Ozil and Khedira. Kroos is a different one as Kroos was offered a contract but wanted more which Bayern were not going to give so in the end they sold him for quite a lot of money. Also while Bayern have always been a major club domestically and continentally, when Khedira and Ozil left their respective German teams, the Bayern of then were much inferior to the Bayern of present who are almost formidable. They are a much more attractive proposition for players now.
