Fernando Torres

None of our strikers are as good as the ones Barbara mentioned.

Our strikers would not be starting matches in any other top club on the continent - they would be at the very best squad players.

They can be compared to players like Lambert; Soldado; Boni etc who are on a similar level but when compared with top players they pale in comparison. They lack the killer instinct; movement; capabilities that a top striker would have - even a young lad like Lukaku is miles better than them.

I kinda have to agree..

We need to fix this problem once and for all and buy a TOP striker, not a good striker. Ba is a good striker, but is he a top one? no.. Same goes for Torres (nowdays Torres anyway..). Lukaku may be top class one day, only time will tell (looking like he will be, though).

IF we buy a striker, it must be Lewa, Falcao, Cavani.... not a Ba, not a Soldado, not a Diego Costa (the latter doing really well right now but wouldn't compare him to the top ones..).

The build up play was brilliant chances galore and Nando is still a dud ,I know he has been injured ,but fook me Nando ,he needs to gat his finger out he should have scored at least two . And I still believe he will come good ,fook knows why ,I am desperate for him to do the business and score goals.

Well and truly resorted back to type tonight. Funny thing is it's still better than the tripe he delivered under Carlo, AVB and Rafa, which kind off says it all. 2 Premier League goals in the whole of 2013 isn't an accident or coincidence.

Ba deserves to start on Saturday and probably right up until Eto'o returns.

No excuses today, service was fantastic from everyone behind him. There was that one incident when Frank got it over with an exquisite ball and he just crumbled - and that unbelievable sitter.

His general play wasn't bad but his finishing was an absolute joke.

The Torres conundrum continues.

Agree that Torres was really poor, but Ba wasn't much better. Before someone mentions his assist... he assisted the defender! instead of his teammate; we were just lucky the defender decided, under no pressure whatsoever, to put the ball in the back of his own net.

Despite being a bit over the hill, Eto'o still seems to be the more rounded striker we've got.

You are saying Ba wasn't much better, do you actually watch the match or just your Torres poster?
