The_Flash 1,144
I still have hope he really does try. In all honesty if everyone around you, on tv, in papers , on the street saying your shi* you aren't going to be brimming with confidence
The_Flash 1,144
Eto'o never really got into the match he wasn't awful either.. Our strikers are poor all 3 but Chelsea was never a team built by having the worlds best strikers scoring 30 goals a campaign so I'm not really surprised that they aren't scoring.. I'm more upset that when they get the 1 or 2 opportunities our strikers get a game they not scoring at least 1.. And that goes for Torres Eto'o and BaHE SO WAS AWFUL!!! Depressing really
bluesman2610 1,417
HE SO WAS AWFUL!!! I defend Chelsea players not Torres not Eto'o ..anyone who puts on the blue shirt and gives me an effort is alright with me.. I agree we need new strikers and if you read my above post instead of just slagging off Eto'o every chance you get you would see that
BleedsBlue 1,549
Accept the striker situation and deal with it. There is no point constantly nagging about it as nothing will change till the end of the season. didierforever
Popular Post! Tomo 21,751 Posted January 5, 2014 Popular Post! Share Posted January 5, 2014 It really is funny, Torres is the one that cost £50m, yet he is the one with the least expected of him.Eto'o misses chances against Swansea he's shit full stop, Torres misses chances today and he's "getting involved in the game and working hard". Oh and don't even go there with the fans chanting "Torres, Torres" everytime he turns over possession. For the record i don't rate Eto'o either, but the sheer amount of double standards and excuses made up for this guy are absolutely hilarious. Cripen 110
Shame that he didnt take that chance. When I saw it first time I was very very annoyed - what the hell he just did??!! But theres a GK leg, I saw that on a repeat. But still it was a good chance and it could be a goal.Besides that he was pretty decent. Surely did more than Eto'o. The Mak 4,459
Meh, forced two good saves out of the keeper, more than Eto'o did. It really says it all about our current striker situation when what you just said is considered a positive. *Sigh*...this is the part where I say we need a real striker, but whatever. I'm just tired of Torres in general. Tomo and Leif have said enough for me!It really is funny, Torres is the one that cost £50m, yet he is the one with the least expected of him.Eto'o misses chances against Swansea he's shit full stop, Torres misses chances today and he's "getting involved in the game and working hard". zolayes 14,489
We are stuck with what we have ,, and in my opinion Torres is by the far the best of a poor bunch ... Thank fuck we get goals from the rest . and please let our defence stay strong Blue Armour, The_Flash and Bosnian Blue
bluesman2610 1,417
Either way we know the strikers we have are not good enough to propel us to domestic and european glory.. we just have to make due whether it be Torres, Ba or Eto'o it would be much more beneficial that we send them good vibes to kick on to at the very least top 3 finish in PL and Semi final appearance in CL... when the summer comes around at least 2 of 3 won't be here any longer and we can go from there
5354 204
If he had scored yesterday, would had helped alot with his confidence. But I somehow feel he is gaining a little bit of pace back, not acceleration though.

We bought in Eto'o two days before loaning out Lukaku. Eto'o was bought in from semi-retirement after chasing a fat paycheque to Russia. Neither of these things endear him to fans, and he simply represents a lot of the bad stuff at this club.Torres has put in some very good shifts this season and scored some very important goals (the first against Palace, the first against Southampton, the winner against City) and yesterday he should've scored but for a fantastic bit of keeping. What is this thing with people removing context from things? You mention the Eto'o-Lukaku thing (which is a fair point) but we practically lost Sturridge due to a last ditch attempt to save face with the Torres deal.Torres may put in good shifts at times but he also has his lazy days, and when he does he's at Berbatov level. Eto'o has also put in shifts aswell (to the point he has been harassing and pressing goalkeepers) and has also scored vital goals (Cardiff to make it 2-1, Liverpool). But at the end of the day, neither are good enough and Eto'o will be gone in the summer, hopefully he can take Torres to MLS with him. Mouri_Matic 560
Good goal but terrible performance again, against better teams that goal would have never happened, Hull was just too tired by the end.
