Ergh

My GOD, this forum sometimes and the fans that inhabit it, such dim views on the game they supposedly love to watch, shouldn't you know a bit better and have some better knowledge on managers by now? This is a GOOD move for us. Unfortunately a few people I Know are jumping on the band wagon and saying they will know renew their season tickets etc. because its an 'outrage'.. Fans are phoning Talksport to say get Roman out.. GET REAL! Its all well and good posting "FUCK YOU CFC" "FUCK YOU ROMAN" on an internet forum but take a breath, take a minute, or two? Realise that deep down this is the best move or we'd be hitting 6th place again.

Thoughts?

Why the FUCK would u sign Benitez untill the end of the season? I mean fucking seriousley, WHY?!

I feel really sorry for RDM, honestly. He wins the CL and doesnt even get to stay for a whole season after. Not good results? Well, WE HAVE NO STRIKER.

Ah fuck sake...No point in saying anything, but im ASHAMED to be a Chelsea fan today!

Absolutely. Chelsea is above anyone or anything, and I'm pretty sure only low percentage of fans will walk away when Russian is gone. It's not that I hate him, we have a lots of things to be greatful for, but he has ill advisors.

It is amazing how many great guys this past few yers walked away from us and he hasn't asked himself: am I doing something wrong here?

MOST trophies in 9 years!!!

How exactly is he doing something wrong?

This is business not Football, that changed when the Premiership was started.

- Player loyalty - gone

- manager loyalty - gone

- club loyalty - gone

What has come in is a SHIT load of cash!

Don't hate the 'players hate the game'

Players = CFC Management.

Like I said this was on the cards since his appointment, again if YOU expected any different then go look up naive in the dictionary.

Moaning about it isn't going to change anything, taking it like a Man and getting on with it is the only option...

It's an INTERIM appointment, like Avram, so lets back the Team, make sure we finish 4th or higher and get on with it...

Alright, the rage has cooled down a bit. Time to think what his major issues are (in order)...

1. Clattenburg misunderstanding has to be resolved imediately. We either prove it or drop it.
2. Make the players commit to your cause. Gather everyone and make them believe you have a decent strategy, spot the leaders and let them have voice to inflate the rest of the squad.
3. Stick with the formation you are used to and dont create some stupid lineup. Great coaches have a system (Wenger`s 4-3-3, Carlo`s midfield diamond, Pep`s false 9, etc).
4. Be good at giving orders, be clear so each player knows his specific role (RDM`s biggest problem).
5. Start by defense, it is always easier to make them obey and then free the players then to do the other way around. We just cant concede that many goals. We have CWC ahead.
6. Train setpieces (we have been horrible defensively), finishing and get us some width.
7. Make SB a fortress again, we cant go far in the league without a strong home record.
8. Get Torres back (impossible).
9. Lastly, after everything is sorted out, make us play a competitive beautiful football.

Only then, you will get the fans on your side.

Rafa is known for playing an extra-deep back-line, no?

If he's allowed to do that here, it'll be interesting to see how Luiz does.

I get the feeling he's going to go with Mikel - Romeu to protect the back 4.

Mikel acting as the Xabi Alonso (lol) while Romeu acts as Mascherano (lol).

He likes to have a supporting midfielder for his loan striker. So either Oscar or Mata will have a slightly different role behind Torres with a lot less interchanging than they've become used to.

Moses will probably be given a Kuyt role and yeah.

Not good for the future, but probably good enough to see this season through!

Rafa did a good job at Valencia. That's a fact.

Rafa just couldn't cut it at Liverpool. That's a fact.

Rafa was terrible at Inter. That's a fact.

Rafa is the new manager of CFC. That's a fact.

Like - fucks sake ran out of like again! Can I have my like quota increased please????

Can't believe some of the stuff i am reading, i have never really wanted Benitez at Chelsea but whether we like it or not he is Chelsea manager and we must get behind him, when he walks out of the tunnel on Sunday give him a decent welcome, im not saying create banners and profess our love for him, but give him a good welcome.

Yes he may have been Liverpool manager in the past which has led to animosity but did we love Ashley Cole when he was at Arsenal? Frank Lampard when he was at West Ham? You never know Rafa might just surprise us.

But whatever happens he deserves what we give every manager as a minimum a chance.

Even worse I have to support him now, just because Abramovic smoked too much weed and do not care about supporters opinion at all.

Great job Roman, you do not respect Chelsea legends and you bring guys we hate.

Great post :)

That's the spirit... None of us have a crystal ball to predict the future...

But we're on the Rollercoaster now, so lets see what happens next :)

Glass half full, rather than half empty approach....
