Using Chelsea as a jumpstart for his new career in England. He has top facilities and great players at his disposal compared to most clubs which will make it easier for him (albeit with more pressure). Just can't see him doing much. He knows how to best manage Torres at least.

Torres has a bud to sit with him on the bench now while Mata plays. I feel that is the best thing about having the fat man around.

WELL PLAYED TO TORRES AND LIVERPOOL. they have played the perfect "big con". STEP 1 - MAKE CHELSEA BUY TORRES, that would create a ruckus and spoil 2-3 seasons but somehow DD saved our asses. STEP 2 - make torres play so bad that he gets a couple of managers fired and also till this point make Chelsea get rid of all its good strikers. STEP 3 - BRING IN BENITEZ with the promise of bringing torres back to his best. STEP 4 - DESTROY CFC...... wow...

Roberto Di Matteo says he leaves Chelsea with his head held high despite his dismissal as manager.

Di Matteo's reign at Stamford Bridge lasted just 262 days - six more than his predecessor Andre Villas-Boas - but during his short time in charge they won the Champions League and FA Cup.

Di Matteo was dismissed in the early hours of Wednesday morning after Chelsea'sspacer.gif 3-0 Champions League defeat to Juventus.spacer.gif

Later the same day Rafael Benitez was appointed as interim manager until the end of the season.

Di Matteo said: "I am extremely proud of the successes and trophies that we were able to bring to the club in recent months.

"Lifting Chelsea's first Champions League trophy in Munich was the best achievement in the club's history and without doubt the highlight of my career."

"I have a deep and unreserved passion for Chelsea Football Clubspacer.gif and I would like to sincerely thank all of my staff, my players and of course the Chelsea fans for their tremendous support in the intense time I have been manager at the Bridge."
