Do you consider Lampard a CDM? he still joins in the attack every time and scores his fair share of goals. Oscar can take over his role, and be the link between defence and attack. His passing is good, and work-rate excellent so i think he can do well there.

It's surely better than having him on the wings or on the bench as backup to Mata.

Then why not just sold him and sign a better player at CDM if that is the case. Or is that unthinkable because he had a good debut season last year? A wannabe CDM will never be as good as a true CDM obviously. No, I don't think Lampard is a CDM and he is ineffective there, why he is in the team however is because he is a winner who is capable of magic moments and he knows where the back of the net is.

Doesn't matter what pivot is CDM or DLP or SEX. That's just way too deep for a player like Oscar. CM is as far back as he should ever go. We really really should switch to 4-3-3.

we will have to change the way the club's been playing for 2 years then and also 4-3-3 will probably make mata half as significant as he currently is, so its a hard decision to take. i ll just trust MOU on this one.

People need to make up their mind, eventually one of our young/ good players will be sold. Do you honestly think Kevin/Oscar/Hazard/Mata/Schurrle/Moses is going to accept rotation for the long term?

Obviously they will have to agree to it at first but eventually one will make the spot his own, that is when the other who didn't make it will leave as he doesn't want to be a bench warmer. Look at Higuain/Benzema, MU wingers, MU GK. They all rotated, eventually one of those players competing for their place decided to leave because they lost/knew they would never won.

13 goals 13 assists and plenty of chances created. Very good stats considering his age, first year in Europe, being played out of position and being overplayed which meant he (and many others) were virtually exhausted towards the end of the season. But you obviously don't care about these things and don't care about players developing. You're one of those people that expect every young player to be the finished article and demand that they score and assists 100 goals a season right?

Ignore him. He's a clown.

Probably the worst game I've seen Oscar have for Brazil. Only positive was the flick to Neymar where he put him 1vs1 on goal.

Invisible during the latter part of the game.

not his fault. he was seriously tired.

Next season is going to be a defining season for Oscar IMO.

It will be the season where he either establishes himself in our spine, or is an important player but who doesnt get every game.

Wherever he plays, he needs to score more goals, more assists and must impose himself more.

This season he adjusted, had alot of games in the calendar year. He shone moderately and showed he can get better.

Now he has mourinho and probably more players who are in sync.

He has to take it up a few notches this season.

During transition, it is the performances, effort etc that matter.

But moving forward, stats come in to the picture as well.

He will undoubtedly continue his good performances this season, but its a must he gets the stats as well.
