🇧🇷 Oscar

Really disappointed that we're losing someone like Oscar. He was one player I really wanted to see become an important player for us and have a colourful career with us.

But there was so much about his game that just didn't fit. Too lightweight, no passion, couldn't tackle, poor shooting.. it's the right choice to let him go I think.

We want players who can play football, not run around the pitch showing no desire. Oscar was one of those players. We're making £9m profit on him as well if we sell him for £30m.

And yes I said "disappointed", but that doesn't mean I don't want him to leave!!

Even if we sold him I couldn't get excited like some of you until I know whether he's being replaced or not. Knowing us, we'd sell him and just consider RLC his replacement and not sign another midfielder.

Oscar has no place in the team, he's not a winger or CM, so which kind of midfielder do you want? I dont think Conte will bring another CM since he wants Matic to stay, and i think we have enough wingers...

One penalty and one goal in pre-season still doesn't convince me that he is world class. I remember he had one good game last season against MK Dons in the FA Cup and nothing much else.

It was a joke.

It seems like hes thought hard about him and sounds like he was real impressed by his 2012 form when he went inti hibernation come Jan time

regardless of his overall technique - which is debatable and varied erratically over his short career - for me he is useless without his workrate. So, I tend to believe that the leaked comment from Conte, or another coach, was just a warning to Oscar: he seemed to have noticed it.

Ironically his work rate was his only virtue very often under Jose.

I'm Ok with mikel leaving without any replacement because IMO anyone can replace him - Chalobah for example is already a better player and just needs minutes to prove it.

Though concerning Oscar, I agree with Juan Mata that he should only leave if replaced by someone better. No, if memory serves, both Cuadrado and Moses were just as average if not worse than Oscar's worst moment, so not as easy as it sounds.

BTW, even though I questioned the overall idea that RLC was going to be a starter this season, pretty out there tbh, I've been nothing but scared by his performances or lack thereof. So, no RLC at the moment, does not seem like a useful player.
