Magic Lamps 11,692
Actually I would not want him here. He is totally overrated, has only played one decent season ever in his entire career. He was only voted player of the year in Germany because the magazin that organized the vote sent 80% of the voting cards to the wrong addresses so only a fracture of the representative number of journalists actually voted. I know many of you reside in Schweinsteiger's rectum and only leave it to lick his feet, but as a long-time follower of his performances i can say he is so damn inconsistent, always injured and usually lets his team down big time. Though one has to admit, that his experience, positional sense, reading of the game, tactical skills and general footballing ability are above average you have to know he was a winger at first but he proved technically too bad and too slow for that position. He is not only damn slow, much slower than Mikel for instance. Also no one really knows what he actually is, for a B2B midfielder he is extremely useless in front of goal (the goals he has scored in his entire career are about as many as Lamps scores in an average season), for a DLP he has too few key-passes, for a DM his tackling is shit. I am not saying he would not improve this team as we do not have one proper player for the DP, but he only would do so because he is a good footballer at the peak of his powers, but there is no way he is the worldclass man everyone outside Germany thinks he is. How much would he cost hypothetically 30m? 40m? He is worth half of that at best... As long as the weather is nice and everything goes well for his team he will always be in the middle of the party, but as soon as it gets dirty he will be either the first to disappear or the one to ultimately fuck it up so no wonder his only decent season was one his team had no struggles at all and never got near a problem just because luckily the oppositions where coincidentially sabotaging themselves. When they lost in 2012 to us, as soon as he faced Lampard of course he was the one to only role the ball to Robben 20 times for the Dutch to shoot over instead of taking responsibility himself. Of course it was him who missed the crucial penalty. Of course it was him getting fucked a 2nd bumhole by Daniele de Rossi a month later when Germany exited the Euro. Just as I wrote in the Khedira thread, there a good players and there are great players.... He is fuckin 29 and at his peak, but however you look at it, whether he is a DM, DLP or B2B mid, there are a host of players better than him at any of those positions currently. Some people even think he as a player overall is in the Lampard, Matthäus bracket. Actually he is not even in the Gerrard, Ballack bracket. He might be in the upper half of the Torsten Frings, Michael Carrick bracket but only when you are really kind to him.
Pacquiao 1,834
I would love us to sign him, I knew he was fond of Chelsea for years now, but now would be a great time to sign him, Bayern have a lot of quality in their midfield so woud probably not mind selling him, a midfield of Matic - SchweinsteigerFabregaswould be incredible.http://hereisthecity.com/en-gb/2014/12/06/ex-germany-standout-reveals-bayern-munichs-bastian-schweinsteige/?utm_medium=share%2Bbutton&utm_campaign=social%2Bmedia&utm_content=/en-gb/2014/12/06/ex-germany-standout-reveals-bayern-munichs-bastian-schweinsteige/&utm_source=Twitter
termninja 5,290
Brilliant player, I would welcome him with open arms. I don't care about formations and what about Oscar etc... Bastian is one of the finest midfielders in the world. At 30 years of age he can give a few great seasons still, and we all know how old was a certain Frenchman in 2003 and how did his Chelsea career turn out. BlueLyon 9,359
I think he might come in two years on bosman if he wont extend contract. Could have Ballack effect here, add experience etc.But in two years, things will change and Oscar could develop in quite some player and Schweini wouldnt be even the better player of the two... supporter 3,088
I think it would be very interesting for us to ask ourselves if we need to make an effort to convince Bastian Schweinsteiger for him fiche for Chelsea next summer market.Bastian Schweinsteiger, according to reports (provided by another forum member in the past) he supposedly wants to play in the Premier League and Chelsea would be the favorite destination for him.Bastian Schweinsteiger out of contract in 2016 so his signing would be very cheap for us (problemente between ₤ 10 or 15 million (€ 12.87 or 19.31 million) and is a player of a very regular and experienced in major competitions performance.Bastian Schweinsteiger has had several ankle injuries but he seems to have overcome those problems (his World Cup was awesome) and is a privileged player physically. And Bastian Schweinsteiger has only 30 years old, the perfect age to have a mature player. His signing reminds me Ballack (he also had injury problems to come with us and their performance at Chelsea was pretty good).I think it might be an interesting operation, and more considering that we have to Nathan Ake and Ruben Loftus-Cheek, who are very young and a signing of a younger midfielder could stand in their future.Bastian Schweinsteiger may be a good option. Schweinsteiger - Matic Fabregas Messi / Reus Hazard Diego Costahttp://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/551843/Chelsea-Man-Utd-Bayern-Munich-Bastian-Schweinsteiger-Contract-Revelationhttp://hereisthecity.com/en-gb/2014/12/06/ex-germany-standout-reveals-bayern-munichs-bastian-schweinsteige/?utm_medium=share%2Bbutton&utm_campaign=social%2Bmedia&utm_content=/en-gb/2014/12/06/ex-germany-standout-reveals-bayern-munichs-bastian-schweinsteige/&utm_source=Twitterhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ainPplNzkx8 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iSRUy66AgYs

Spike 12,049
I wouldn't be surprised if he leaves Bayern. Won everything in Germany several times, just broke-up with his long term partner, Bayern have a lot of youthful midfeilders and his contract is running out sooner rather than later. Now, I would be surprised if he came here. But in saying that Chelsea have pulled off some spectacular transfers: Shevchenko, Cole, Ballack, Essien, Hazard, Fabregas, and Torres. Who'd have thought Chelsea would get Fabregas and Torres eight years ago?
LAM09 7,067
I preferred him when he played AMF, but he has changed his game quite a bit over the last few years. Still world class on his day.
