Been the 2nd best player in the world for a while now. The HAZARDous one was unplayable yet again. All he needs is to see the ball and his teammates to play acceptably and he generally has an excellent performance. I don't think he ever plays poorly when the team is good.

Even in the Jose meltdown period he was like 7th in key chances created, despite playing through injury and the club being in it's worse place for decades. I still can't believe people thought he was a problem back then. Unfortunately he will never get the credit he deserves due to the average fans obsession with goals and assist plus the unfair and untrue stigma around his 15/16 season.

It's just too easy for him

No. He was terrible that season in contrast to every other year he’d been here, there is no unfair stigma or whatever based on that season, it’s genuine that he was incredibly poor and it got so bad that even Guus didn’t play him from the start ahead of Pedro or Willian. It can happen but there should be no excuses for a player of his ability to ever perform that poorly, especially a few months after a season where he had just won player of the year and been crucial to our title win.

His performances this season are good, he should be looking to perform at such a level every match, the whole best player in the world accolade I think that’s beyond him but he can be the best player in the PL without a doubt by a country mile. Unfortunately goals and assists do matter so hopefully he can get more and more. Him and Morata are a joy to watch at times.

Numbers matter more than anything in this day and age.

You hit the nail on the head by saying in contrast to his other season's, ofcourse he was poor by his standards but not to the depth's fans and Jose made out. Plus the fact he was playing with a hip injury plus the wear and tear from being overplayed the two seasons previous must be factored. Guus didn't drop him, he was easing him back in due to the same injury flarring up again, from then on he slowly looked like his old self again culminating in making Spurs and Liverpool look like idiot's.

He more than can be, he already is the best player in this league, he carries us and (in my opinion ofcourse) if he spends his whole career here (or leaves when he's past his prime) then our greatest ever player won't or atleast shouldn't be debatable.

Not when it comes to Hazard, he has had many godlike games without scoring and if he has 15-20 off such games he'd be my POTY even if he doesn't score again this season.

15-20 off games is around a third, which is quite a lot. The best players are judge on consistency instead singular performance such as, Atletico or Utd. We want to deliver more often than not along with the rest of our squad.

Nice to see him take a shot from outside the box that resulted in our first goal. His partnership with Morata could be very fruitful this season.

He isn't on Ronaldo or Messi's level & I'm as much of a Chelsea fan as anyone. Him & Neymar are close behind.

On current form he really is better than CR7. He has 13G+A in his last 11 appearances for club and country...

He said 2nd best for while now, which is over the top IMO. Could say Salah is the best player in Europe on stats alone right now.

Yeah I agree, that’s not possible considering he was out injured for like half the year.

5 at the back can't go on forever for a top club. So we must remember that we will switch back to a formation with wingers sooner rather than later, and if we have a new manager at that time, Hazard will be back on the wing considering 90% of his games were played there.

Only if Conte stays for another 2-3 seasons beyond this one, perhaps sticking with 5 at the back, do I see Hazard staying in his best role. However, if that happens, I also see us going without the trophies we're used to due to the less than inspiring formation.

Best case scenario is that next season, Conte develops an unexpected love for 4-2-3-1.

With the players we have right now, it wouldn't be too shabby; it's clear where we can improve with new additions:-

Courtois; Zappa, Azpilicueta, Christensen, Alonso; Kante, Fabregas; Pedro, Hazard, Willian; Morata.

It's at least capable. I'd consider that line-up stronger than Tottenham's, Arsenal's, Liverpool's - and equal to Man United's, only because Hazard/Morata/Kante/Courtois/Azpilicueta/Christensen overcompensate.
Bakayoko can't be a starter alongside Kante in a 4-2-3-1; his dwelling on the ball would kill counter-attacks when we need to quickly pass up towards Hazard & co.
We need a younger Fabregas with defensive prowess.
2 new full-backs who run up and down the field more than anyone.
And then 2 brand new wingers.

We're going to kill some chemistry in the process, meaning another rebuilding season (lack of foresight from whoever recruited our players), but it'll be worth it if we finally put together a team that has more or less the same top-level players for 5 consistent years.

This post goes in the Hazard section because we simply should have the team built around him - when he's in the centre.

Hazard has now scored 60 Premier League goals, surpassing Zola's record of 59. Fourth highest in club's history. Should overtake JFH. The other two though...

If he continues scoring at the rate he is atm, and if he has like a 30 league goal season next season, he actually overtakes Didier.

I don't think I've ever seen him more angry and less subdued after being kicked down by the opposition.....I love it!

Barry kicked Eden, ref did nothing, Eden lying in the ground, WBA players still playing, not giving ball away to pause the game and WBA fans whistle Eden for ''faking'' injury.

Couple minutes later his shot ends up with Morata scoring the goal.

Man, karma at its finest.
